OT - Frank Ladson

Bro what. Broward County had more 1st round picks in the 2019 draft than any STATE. It’d take too much effort to name young NFL ballers from SoFlo for you.

Of course there’s dudes everywhere, but the biggest concentration is here.

👆🏻 Why you still can’t ignore FL. Half the population of CA, 2/3 the population of TX, still the most players. GA is impressive though per capita- 10 million ppl and 134 players is a **** of a rate of return.

I dont know if I should be ****ed or happy at this stat. AGAIN the state has the most players in the league but two of its top 3 college football programs are about to win 4-5 games this season if they are lucky and the 3rd is treading water after losing to Kentucky. Smh. I guess you can say the same about Texas too but still. Disappointing to see.

I said offense and I named about 6 dudes

Let’s not forget their crowning achievement, the Brazilian bikini wax. Most posters don’t know the horror life was before they shared that with the world

Apologies, I forgot defense isn’t part of the game and those athletes don’t speak to the talent SoFlo has.

Also I’m confused, do you care about speed or talent because you said your point is about speed. Either way SoFlo has plenty of both.

But if you can name an area of the country that has an equal or better WR or CB group in the NFL, I’d love to hear it.

There’s a reason why Madden has a game mode in The Yard where you play in the port of Miami and play against a roster entirely from South Florida.

Have you named any offensive player from the U in the last 10 years outside of Lamar Miller? I realize Hurns and Benjamin made contributions but do you see what I'm trying to point out yet or do you want to switch the topic to defense?

Frank Ladson is not from the U, the topic is south florida talent.

Frank Ladson is South Florida talent... you wanna keep going? Grimes, Rosemey, Lingard (Orlando). I can name more busts than stars. But go ahead and keep defending it. The state of Florida produces a ton of players, all I'm asking is to tell me about all the offensive stars over the last 10 years that I haven't mentioned.

Our 6 best pass catchers in the past 5 years are Berrios, Osborn, Rambo, Njoku, Herndon, and Jordan (minus Ahmmon Richards)... all out of state. I'm sticking by my argument

Deejay Dallas, Gus Edwards, Jeff Thomas, all out of state.

Pope, Bruce, Mullins, Payton, Wiggins, Redding, Hightower, Yearby, Irvin Jr, etc. All in state

Alot of people pegged him as a bust....it wasn't the usual posters who hate if someone leaves especially a five star. It was reliable dudes who said he was not that good. And they were right

You are right. There were plenty of posters questioning his status as one of the top WR in the country. I remember posters mentioning that. I guess they were right. Hey not everyone come out the gates killing it. Some players take more time to get to that level.

Well said.. my point is when you look at some of the fastest wrs in the country or at the combine, they are from all over the country. Ohio has had some of the fastest wrs dating back to Galloway.

Who is the last offensive Hurricane player from the state of Florida, from 2006-present to have a major impact in the NFL? It's been around 10 years and maybe it's Lamar Miller? And all of our great TE's are usually out of state, Franks, Shockey, Winslow, Olsen, Graham, Njoku, Herndon, and Jordan. It's crazy to think of how little offensive talent we have produced lately.
All that says is that we aren’t getting the best talent. Jeudy & Ridley are ballin. Jackson & Bridgewater are ballin. Current there is 3 starting qbs in the NFL from Florida and neither of them attended UM. Forget even the stars like Amari Cooper but we didn’t you have Robbie Anderson from South Plantation High who went to Temple and was an unstaffed free agent that had over 1k receiving yards last year. You have TY Hilton (older now) who went to FIU and was a 2nd rounder getting multiple 1k yard seasons.

We can’t say Florida is overrated because we recruited the wrong players. I mean 3 south Florida qbs are starting in the NFL. We were closer to all of them than they were to any other school.

You’re right. I think the op is frustrated because we aren’t getting the stars. I mean players like Robbie Anderson & TY Hilton got 1k yard seasons and that’s Temple & FIU players. Broward and Dade athletes. We didn’t offer either (although TY recruitment was weird… I think we offered to put him on a hoops ride).

I was one of them i had him on the line of Pope.
I dont trust those DOWN SOUTH WRS. The talent level is typically questionable and they still dont put up big numbers in high school.

People can’t accept that south Florida football is watered down. Ladson is overrated. TS is overrated. Chad Thomas was overrated. Marcus Forston, Nesta Silvera, etc.

Urban Meyer said something to the effect that south Florida players are very raw, unpolished, and poorly coached. That’s why he recruited few. The kids here are very hard to project. **** most these schools in south Florida don’t have strength staffs
