I like the South Dade program under Nate Hudson. Great skill position players, good coaching, fun to watch. Booker T is similar.

MacArthur Mustangs!!! Plenty History coming out of that program. Imagine if they weren't robbed by the private schools year in/year out.

I have mad respect for Northwestern. Whooped the daylight out of my HS in the state ship back in the day. I think they had about 10 guys go to UM after that season, including Jacory

This one is a no brainer. The program that consistently does more with less, Belen Jesuit. Over the past few years they've taken down Booker T, Northwestern, Southridge, Norland, Carol City, Jackson, Homestead, and even took Central to the brink in a 4 OT thriller.

Mark Guandolo's Chaminade teams were always outrageous. I have a lot of respect for what he was able to build over there. They were talented and extremely well coached. I think the only better coached team in the state was a team who would eventually beat them in one of their state title appearances, Bolles. I think his teams would have taken down STA if George Smith would have manned up and accepted the challenge.

I'm waiting to see Nate to get promoted into a college program. Has done a great job at South.

Thats my alma mater...You already know SNUG.....Guys remember them Chaminade Madonna big years with Beason,Glen Cook,etc.....THEY were mostly all Mcarthur Kids. They were basically our JV...kids that were second string would transfer to Chaminade from us ...(Jerry Seymour, Beason etc..)

That run in 09 for Belen was crazy. Has to be the most unexpected team to ever go to states from Dade. That team was more talented than people think. Their skill guys and their LB (Menocal) were all on the 4*100 team that won the state championship against other schools that are known to have explosive athletes in track.

2013 Booker T was really fun to watch.

Can't go against my squad. Even after I stopped coaching, I still go to a lot of their games - Columbus. Adelante.

I'm picking these guys because I'm a HUGE homer...it's also the biggest rival of the school mentioned the most here...Norland! Go Vikes..someone said it already, a lot of talent comes from Miami Gardens, which houses students from both Norland and CC

Also liked watching the early 90s Miami High football Team, only because my cousin Hubert Wylie played LB for those teams that went to state.... he was first team all state selection 2 years straight

Not from South Florida but if I had to pick a team from down there it would be Carol city mostly because they have my favorite rapper Rick Ross and one of my favorite canes Santana. My high school, Hillsborough, play Carol city in the championship game in 96. My coaches knew how much I like Rick Ross so they let me have the tape from that game. I used to watch it at least 1 time a week when I was in school.

My second favorite would be the 08 Booker T squad with Brandon Harris at quarterback. They knock armwood out in the semifinals that year, but it should have been us playing Booker T instead of armwood.

I literally LOL'd at the hate for STA and private schools recruiting. I know first hand that the public schools do the same thing on a daily basis. If not, Carol City would be stacked and Flanagan wouldn't be. Don't be naive folks.
That being said, i like Norland Senior and STA. Heidelberg seems to do more with less, and STA just dos things the right way.

I agree homie... Dillard was notorious for it back in the days as well. I just don't see why you go play for STA, Pace, or Chaminade, when you can put on for the neighborhood you grew up in. Unless it's for educational reason. Only exception.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaa I was there in 96 ... yall was right after my brother squad Bartow won the ship against a loaded jacksonville Bolles team. We beat a loaded belle glades team before that but I remember watching that game like it was just last night

I like to watch certain coaches more than any specific team. Nothing like sitting in the stands and watching a nice, crisp, well coached offense pick apart some slappy South Florida. Same with defense.

I like watching Flanagan play defense. Nobody runs to the ball like they do. They don't do anything special schematically but they're well-coached, intense and play with passion.
I like watching Guandolo's offenses sometimes. I admire the way he switched it up and started being more multiple instead of strictly wing-T.
My boy who was OC at Western this season had a really fun offense to watch and they currently have one of the most explosive young kids in Broward. (Elijah Moore) A lot of quick throws all over the field, getting guys in space.
Wherever Rashad West is coaching, go watch that offense as well.

I don't really enjoy watching a lot of the "hood" teams cause IMO it's not quality football, it's just a bunch of athletes running around.

I know for sure that Armwood and plant down here in Tampa recruits heavy

I have been stressing it since I joined this site, we need to plant a flag in Polk County.
