Off topic thread, but I am very interested to see what school or schools, some of you hold as your favorite in the South Florida area. We'll just say anything South of Tampa just to make it easier. But I would love to hear your opinions if you went to school somewhere down south, if you're just repping your area, or if you played ball for a team down south.

Two of my favorites to watch are South Dade and Carol City. Those two schools are about as Miami football as you can get, surviving off the Miami athlete, love watching them year in and year out to see what gems they have churned up each year. This year they both fielded very exciting teams, was awesome to follow.

Vote from afar, admittedly not watching this stuff live - historically I'd mention Carol City. Over the years their kids seemed to always be "tough" and lack the prima donna stuff that other schools were putting out (with the exception of Willie). I know Frazier left several years ago so not sure if things are the same there... I know a lot of the CC kids seem to play at other places now.

I don't think any dade school has been better for the canes than Carol City. Willie and Kenny Phillips on that defense.....those were the good ol days.

I'm a Lauderhill boy so I would have to go with STA, I mean what the F! Certainly not Dillard or Boyd.

OUR FORMER WR COACH IS THEIR CURRENT HEAD COACH, Ethenic Sands is also on staff.

Willie is from Carol City but only played there a year. He was a Miami Pace kid (private school in carol city area)

Dalvin Cook is a Carol City kid, a lot of the Miramar kids as well...Stedman Bailey, Jermaine Grace, etc.

They back on the come up though Swag.....they have a lot of young talent...and they got to hit/keep their optomist area studs...in Nayquan Wright, etc...didnt get Cook's younger bro....but the Carol City area may have had 3 LEGIT div 1 3-5 star level backs as incoming freshman..and Carol City kept two of them and missed out on lil Cook.

I Live near by so there a historic program for north dade area...and everyone loved coach frazier.

But when Miami Northwestern is clicking its the best thing/team to watch.....for the simple fact as they have like 3 legit rivalries on schedule and if they are clicking those are some big matchups....(Central, Jackson, Carol City).

Booker T is also cool...as if you follow their optomist program Overtown Rattlers...you would legitimately see kids play with each other since age 6-7 yrs old all the way to high school...same thing as The West with Gwen Cherry Bulls/ Liberty City Warriors.

Im not a big fan of the privates like STA, Heritage, Chaminade as their are a whole lot f mercenaries and transfers etc.... i like neighborhood schools...

Carol City, Central and the West.
Carol City is loaded with young talent so watch for them these next couple years.

Don't forget Isaiah McKenzie and Malcolm Lewis with the Carol City kids

Carol city chiefs for life. Few know how much talent came and comes from carol city which is now called Miami gardens but will always be Carol City.

Aquinas. Simply due to their relative non-***kery in relation to recruiting. Can't really match their level of consistent D1 and pro production either. I like the racial diversity of their squads and staff too.

Im a Palmetto Panther at Heart, but I love watching Booker T...back in the day I would have said Northwestern and Southridge
