How annoying it is. During the GT UCF game it overpowered the announcers voices and the NFL games its like having a bad case of tinnitus.

Home team still needs some type of advantage tho. Of course Kirby got outwitted by the UAB AD and thus there was no noise, no advantage. He is such a DA.

Wonder what it feels like for these injured players hobbling off the field to fake applause

It was awful at Louisville last night. Just sounded like white noise coming from the opposite endzone the entire game.

Didn't need it as they had fans at the game, just a limited amount. I think the the GT UCF game did not have fans?

There were fans

I don't get the whole fake noise concept if the opposing team has to agree on it (unless that was an OOC rule).

They literally said multiple times that both teams have to agree on "terms" in order to use it, and of course UAB wasn't agreeing to anything, so they couldn't do it.
It’s also been said in multiple games that they are allowed to play it, but that the level has to be agreed on, so it’s not ridiculously loud for the away team. But that agreed upon level should never be literally “OFF”

That's only for OOC games. ACC made the rules for all their interconference games already.
