OT:Executives - Johnny Manziel second worst pick of all time

"Shockingly thin?" I hope it's the AIDS.

Erik Burkhardt, who represented him since his rookie season, and noted superagent Drew Rosenhaus - with each hinting that Manziel needed to clean up his act before bidding to return to the NFL. Manziel's father, Paul Manziel, also said in February that if Manziel did not get professional help, he feared his son might not live to see his 24th birthday.

all kidding aside, it's a sad sad story unfolding. i doubt it ends well.

This is one of those cases that illustrates just how random this sort of human implosion can be.

He was raised by great parents who bought him everything he ever wanted, catered to his every whim, told him he **** daisies and scolded any evil outsiders who tried to butt into Johnny's business. They had his back all the way and tried to be his best friends instead of azzh0le authority figures, and he still went sideways on them.

Sometimes, you never know. You can do everything by the book like the Manziels did, and your kid can still be a ****.

How can anybody disagree that Russell is the worst #1 pick ever? The real dispute is who the 2nd worst #1 pick was.

Manziel at least was well regarded coming out of college. Russell on the other hand was a shocking #1 pick even at the time. Everybody thought Russell was a ridiculous choice for #1 even when he was drafted.

Come on, the Franchise. No matter how much he sucks in the NFL, he's still in the NFL. Nobody except the best .000000000001% of football players gets there. So his parents raised him well enough that he's now the 32nd best QB out of 320 million Americans and 6.5 billion earthlings. Seems pretty good to me.

did you raise your kid well enough to be the 32nd best QB in the world?

For him to be in the NFL, he has to be under contract and he's not. This is what happens when parents spoonfeed kids and don't tell them when their **** stinks.

Sebastiansdildo is bucking to be Captain of the latest group of Marielito dregs dumped unceremoniously on the shores of CIS in the last few months.

EJ Manuel was probably the worst first round pick of recent vintage. At least at QB. No one had him rated as a first round pick outside of the Bills and many scouts had him clumped right in with guys that went in rounds three and four (like Ryan Nassib).

Jamarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf are epic busts, but everyone had them at or near the top of the draft throughout most of the process. That is what made them epic busts. While Manziel had people on both sides of the fence, SOME people thought he was a worthy gamble as a first round pick. He was being compared to Fran Tarkenton for christ's sake. He's a bust. Not a bust on par with #1 and #2 picks, but he's a bust and was a bad pick as a first rounder chosen over Teddy Bridgewater and Derek Carr (two superior prospects)...but that is not worst pick ever quality.

There is a difference between busts and bad picks. Manziel kind of splits the difference between the two.
