OT:Dwayne Wade to the Bulls.

I remember being 11 years old and watching him dropping 42, 36, and 43 in games 3, 4, and 5 in the mavs series...its one of my greatest childhood memories.

thanks D, hope for the best in Chitown

as a bulls fan this is about 6 years too late for me to get excited about, but even being past his prime he should help this team, they are still a mess but i will be going more bulls games than i did last year for sure.

It is that type of thinking that get franchises in trouble. Just look at the Lakers now. Wade did a lot of it to himself, LeBron screwed him, Bosch screwed him but the Heat not so much. Wade made millions more because of the teams success. Unlike Lebron, Wade never did it himself. Wish him the best just glad the Heat aren't footing the bill for an aging former star.

Way too late for this Bulls fan to give any rats asses.
Rondo/wade?
At least Rose gone, now Wade can miss games in his place.

I stopped liking Wade as soon as he was more concerned about what outfits he was going to wear to the press conference than he was playing 42 minutes. He was one of my top 5 all time favorite college players to watch though.

Not a big B ball fan but hate to see Wade leave. I can't blame him. Heat aren't going anywhere the next couple years. They should have paid the man to show others they reward loyalty.

Sucks that Dwayne Wade is leaving but I don't blame him. He made multiple sacrifices over the years and deserved a swan song contract. But it's also business and I see the Heat's side in not wanting to overpay for an aging player.

Professional sports are a business and sometimes you have to make business moves that aren't popular. You run a franchise with your head, not your heart. Wade is an all-time icon in Miami and will be missed severely by Heat Nation. That said, you just can't spend that kind of money on an older guy who's been very injury prone. Especially with so many holes in your roster that need to be filled. Let's say they gave Wade 50 mil. Now you have almost nothing left to spend on a roster that consist of Whiteside, Wade, Dragic, Winslow, Mc Roberts and Richardson. That's 6 guys. Are you going to sign 6 bums to minimum contracts? Bosh isn't playing again. They'll take it on the chin in 2016-17, Get a lottery pick (they actually have a first rounder this year), have Bosh and Mc Roberts' contracts come off the books and they'll have a huge amount of money to spend to add players to the core of Whiteside, Winslow and Dragic.

I love D Wade. I remember when I was sitting in the nose bleeds watching his first shining playoff moment as a 10 year old kid: that game winner against the Hornets. Can't believe it's over, but I can't blame the heat for not giving him 25 million a year at this point.

Wade got greedy on this one. This was a move that would hamper the Heat's ability to continue building towards being a competitor. When you consider how much money he's made in his career, is it really worth it to end it messy like this just go to the Bulls who really aren't any better? The only real argument Wade has is what he gave up to form the Big 3, but even then, he did it for himself and for his boy Lebron just as much as he did it for the Heat, if not more so. He knew he wasn't winning another title without some help, so he sacrificed. This is a move for money and he's still not bringing another title to Miami without some help, just like he's not going to bring the Bulls a championship.

Think he actually got more impatient, shortsighted and tainted by having Lebron in his ear than greedy. He simply just didn't trust the Heat to "take care of him" and demanded respect via eating all their cap space now. I think it'll prove to be quite foolish on his end as he's not winning anything in Chicago but will still have expectations from that fan base to be "vintage" Wade and he sold the cache of being a lifer with one organization very late in his career out of spite and pride. The Heat would have taken care of him once the Bird Rights cap space scenario was available as 70 yr old Pat Riley wasn't going to trash this franchise now ala Kobe did with the Lakers. Wade just has had other people in his ear reinforcing any doubt and perceptions of disrespect and he was too quick to reach a breaking point he should have never gotten to.

Still have a good squad with 20 mil to spend

His "sacrifices" are way overblown. He could have taken the full max when Bosh and Lebron got there but he took less so Haslem could stay. That team didn't need UD but Wade wanted him there. I understand that but it was his choice. If anyone is to blame its his boy Lebron who didn't tell him he was leaving until after Wade opted out of that contract. Then his agent, the same agent Bosh has took the Heat hostage in order to get Bosh the max. Maybe he should have had a different rep there to help him get max money instead he stood by and let 3rd fiddle Bosh be the guy demanding max money. Nobody cost Wade money but Wade himself.

**** Wade, guy has more money than most will ever see but leaves for 7 million lol Washed up clown still believing he's a star.

Then tell the Heat to take a 7 million hit and resign him. Bet you wouldn't stay at your company if another company paid you $7,000 more. If I played BB or NFL, I would go to the highest bidder. Those Championship rings have no value at the bank. I'm going to play my *** off for whichever team I'm on, why not for the one who pays me the most.

Wait until they get out from Boshy's contract/cap hit too by not clearing him to play this year. They'll roll into 2017 free agency with room for 2 max players and a really deep free agent pool and supposedly deep draft.
