I'm not a Fins fan. I like the NFL in general and have no favorite team. I just look for superior play. As others have posted, the #1 pick is not as important as having a boatload of picks. The Fins will have to replace a lot of the talent that they traded away. The #1 pick will not compensate for the lost talent. The more picks they have, the greater the chances of replacing the discarded players.
As for the Jets, I am glad that they are abysmal. Why would they hire Gase as HC? Was he so great as the Miami HC? I thought from the get-go that hiring Gase as the Jet HC was a dumb move. Yeah, he is supposed to be a QB whisperer. How well did he whisper to Tannehill? Did he achieve records better than 9-7, or 8-8 or 7-9? The only thing dumber was the Bears trading up to Mitch who was a one-year starter after sitting on the bench at UNC. The Jets and Bears are now reaping similar results. I like superior NFL play, including superior management that is so crucial for success. On that basis, it is easy to dislike the current Jets and Bears.
