Interesting... I'm a Fan of Malcolm X and most people would frown on that because they see him as a radical racist... but he was a smart dude and once he realize that Religion had no racial limits.. meaning when he realize that he had white, red, yellow and brown Muslim brothers it caused him his life... I'm Christian but think that Malcom and Gandhi had some wisdom that we all could learn from..

Some Gandhi quotes that is relative to all Races, Gender and Religions:

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world."

"The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong."

"Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony. "

I am not well versed in this, but didn't Malcolm maintain the call for a separate black nation even after he broke with The Nation and became a Sunni?

No

Love this site. 10 UPVOTES to UknowWHAT for starting this thread. I believe America and the world needs to have a diversity forum.

It goes against my better judgment to tell the Internet anything about myself, but I'm feeling daring. Black. Also white. Miami alum. Home improvement contractor. Living in Baltimore for 20 years. Fun fact: there's a picture of me and some friends riding in the back of my friend's camaro in the '92 yearbook. It was just after the fsu win. We hadn't been able to make it to the game so of course we piled in and drove around campus throwing toilet paper and screaming at people. Go it was sweet being #1 . Fun fact #2 : I moved to Baltimore just in time for the Ravens to hit town and promptly draft Ray. Been here for both superbowls and man were they sweet, but nothing beats a Miami NC.

Great thread, everyone. Nice idea, Uknow.

As for me, 41, Cuban, born and raised in Miami. Grew up just a stone's throw away from campus. Went to countless practices over the years. First OB game was 87 vs ND. Have been residing in the DC area (in MD) for the past 15 years or so. Try to make it to at least one road game per year.

Career- have spent the past 15 years working in finance in the biotech industry up here.

Black male, 39 years old, BA in Business Admin, currently enrolled online at Penn State for Masters in Supply Chain Management, US Army Veteran (Supply NCO). I work overseas running Supply Chain/Logistics Operations supporting some guys out of Virginia.

I currently live in Hope Mills, NC (Outside of Fayetteville/Bragg area). I was born and raised in Homestead (New Building Projects-Yes, I know John Herron AKA JHOVA- UoF new Director of on-campus recruiting very well), moved to South Miami when I got to the 9th grade (after Hurricane Andrew). I have been a canes fan and all things Miami my entire life.

White, Male, (Education Degree) I own an insurance agency, Presbyterian, Canes, Eagles,Braves,Steelers because my wife is from the Burg, married 2 kids, Coached football and basketball in the past. East Tennessee.

30, Haitian, born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti grow up in North Miami. I'm an EMT living in Jacksonville, FL. Just like everyone else on this site I'm a huge canes fan. My first memory of being a canes fan was watching Scott Covington lead us to victory. But I think I fell in love with the canes after they beat Fsuck in what I like to call the Santana Moss game where he said "big time players make big time plays in big time games" after that I was hook. The canes became drug and I became a junkie. Like D-Money I'm also adjusting to life without D-Wade which is not easy. Along with being a Heat fan, I'm also a Marlins and a Dallas Cowboys fan. My first memory of football was watching the Cowboys beat the Bills in 93 super bowl. Which is when I became a football fan and a Cowboys fan. Lol I remember crying when the Cowboys lost to the 49ers in the NFC championship game the following year. Great thread Poppa Shaq thanks for creating it.

New Buildings Projects!!!! **** son, you took me back a few years. haven't heard about that place in a while.

White, Catholic, married, 2 kids in UM now, Cuban-American, 50yr old, President of telecom company, came to US from Cuba at age of 6. First ever football experience was my cousin taking me to the orange bowl in Nov. 1975 to watch the Canes play Notre Dame. We sat in the upper deck right on the 50 yard line in the first row. The stadium was not full at all. Back then the Canes were not that good and we lost. I think we did beat FSU though. However, from then on I was hooked on Canes and the following year started playing optimist football. The best Canes time was my high school and college years, since it was all of the 80's. Love Dolphins, Heat, Marlins and the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys due to Jimmy Johnson. Followed him there. This blog keeps me young by reading all your interesting comments. We should try to have the same U family spirit here in the blog, as the one Richt is trying to develop in the team and community.
UknowWhat would love to meet you next time you come down and converse. Enjoy your intellect. Also we are looking for programmers, since you are in the business, if you know of any please private message me. Our company is located right across UM.

Like to thank all the current and ex military in here first. Also noticed that almost 10 pages of comments, and no one is wanting to beat the crap out of anyone. Refreshing too see around here. Gonna change my view of the posters on here a lil more to the "they're just passionate about football " side of things instead of the side I had been thinking all along. :) Great idea OP

45, white male, grew up in the muck (Clewiston ), we had a strong team in the '80s lol. Miami fan since I started watching football, altho I haven't watched NFL in years because Dolphins suck and I refuse to switch camps. I'm reconsidering that rule though I tell ya. Working in Aerospace industry in Charleston, SC and get to as many road games in ACC land as I can. Last home game I made was Florida game, and we won, but I still hate those coaches! I'll never say their names again. And I challenge everyone to try. Keep up the good work everyone.
