This guy seems to be a lost treasure as far as safeties go. We talk about the iconic Ed Reed and the late great Sean Taylor as we should but this guy imo is definitely top 5 in my era of watching Miami football. I remember reading an article(wish I could find but too long ago) where Jimmy wanted to draft him but was crushed the Bengals took him. This guy would have had a HOF career with the Cowboys or any of the good teams of the 90's

D Dub was awesome. I count his as No.4 at S for Miami, after the great 3 (ST, Reed, Blades).

Once upon a time, we were blessed w/ just a lineage of playmakers.

One of only two true fr to play on the 89 NC team along with Armstead

Yessir. Love some D Will; wish he had played for a better ran NFL franchise. My man put up very solid numbers in his 10 yr career but didn’t get recognized as a PB til iirc, not til his 5th or 6th yr in the league. He was a tackling machine as a S. Teams would kill for a S who constantly puts up
80 - 100 tackles/season to go along w forcing fumbles???

Iv mentioned this before.. As a rookie Darryl Williams made a great sideline int on a pass thrown by Oilers qb Warren Moon.. NBC cameras panned to a stunned Moon wondering how quickly Williams got off the hash to grab his pass. The great NBC announcer Don Criqui then mentioned how Bengals coach David Shula told him he got down on his knees and gave thanks that they had drafted Darryl Williams.
