OT: College Cheating Scandal - Pay to Play?

The entertaining aspect is simpleton conservatives seeing the names of two Hollywood females and instantly assuming they are liberal. The alternative fact genius Kellyanne Conway even sent out a vile related tweet.

Meanwhile, Lori Laughlin is conservative. The hefty majority on the full list are conservative.

Whoops. Reminds me of when Newt Gingrich tried to blame the Susan Smith drowning incident on liberalism. Then somebody tapped him on the shoulder and pointed out it was a prominent conservative family.

As always...Never Prevent a Conservative From Sounding Like a Conservative. This thread is predictably entertaining compliments of one SAM after another. Prior to Fox News I worried about conservatives concealing their true selves and managing 54%. Now it is the 46% Party, and cemented there thanks to generational imprinting and the Silent Generation steadily dying out.
Felicity Huffman is a big liberal what’s your point?
You clowns on the left never cease to amaze me.
Talk about simpletons, the whole strategy by the libtards is to keep as many people uninformed as possible so they can control the masses.
As for Fox Why would you not want an alternative point of view? Should we just have state run media 100%???
Almost every media outlet leans left - do you think that is good??
As for concealing themselves, your comment is laughable at best....it’s been the libtards that haven’t even used the term libtard to describe themselves for decades! NOW with the tard AOC fully out there in utopia socialist world the left is showing their true colors for once!!! I f Ing LOVE It.

Statistically speaking, they are.

Northern public schools are much better than public schools in the south. Northeastern students also test higher across-the-board in standardized tests.

I know that.
(The acceptance rate for NE applicants is probably somewhere in the low/mid-40% range).

Also, "wealthy" families can afford to send their kids to Miami.

Part of my post was just playing along with the OP.
I know, though, that Miami plays the game just like everyone else.

That is horse****, imo. The govt regulates, subsidizes and makes it effectively impossible not to w8 d up ‘taking’ their money. Do student loans count? Why is that the college ‘taking’ the money? And if it is, why is it the non-dischargeable debt of the student in a bankruptcy?

The government is not some benign force for happy goodness. It forcibly takes money, regulates to the point where institutions can hardly exist without its subsidies, threatens institutions with litigation if thy dont do what it wants (see, e.g., Obama’s ‘dear friend’ letter to universities), then turns around and says ‘aha, you took money, you must become our subjects.’ It’s all wrong, and compounded by the governments outright refusal to enforce basic constotutional prohibitions on discrimination ahen it likes the types of discrimination going on.

As for your question, it’s bizarre. The govt already takes sides and gives to institutions that discriminate, and no one seems to care. It funds planned parenthood, which slaughters millions of minority babies each year. It subsidizes innumerable schools that outright discriminate against Asians, and no ine cares. Your examples are not different from what the govt already does.
Agree

How old are you?
Im guessing you are relatively young. You will sort it out in time. There is a culture war ongoing
Hope you choose the RIGHT side😜

Old enough to be proud to say I am apart of the last generation of Americans to know what happens when you dont come inside the house when the street lights come on.

This whole argument is meant to split the country while both sides **** us and our kids kids over in the future.

Five Percenters say the same **** about MLK do you even know who they are lol

LMFAO NO THEY DON'T. How many 5%ers do you know. The fake ones you talk to online don't count. I AM FROM HARLEM. I know hundreds of them.

You must be talking about some 17 year old instagram kids who have screenames like JimmyXX5%Nation who thinks hes woke and figured out that the earth is flat and king is an agent. All while he posts on IG all day in between picking people up in his uber.

REAL 5%ers that actually support and help the community, not just ***** about the man all day on facebook.

Wealthy families can also afford to send their kids to the best tutors, SAT prep classes, etc. etc.

Exactly this. Every single person I work with has their kids getting tutored and in SAT prep classes. Just learning the proper way to take the test and how to think while taking the SAT will bump your score up quite abit.

Poor people usually can't afford tutors and lower middle class people think Tutors are only for classes you are failing. The rich has kids getting tutored in all subjects, regardless of their performance.

Many also send their kids to elite prep schools and the like. Wealthy parents also generally place a bigger emphasis on doing well in school and have the ability to help their kids in their classes. Plus the odds are the wealthy parents already went through the college process and can give actual advice to the kids were the poorer kid may be the first person in the family trying to go to college and will not be given that same advice.

I knew kids who had parents that weren't able to help them do their 2nd and 3rd grade homework because they were that bad at reading and math. Compare that to wealthy parents who can probably even help their kids on their college assignments if they really wanted to.

In the next 15 years it’s estimated that 30% of what’s left of the American work force is going to be lost to artificial intelligence and robotics/automation. And neither the left or right is trying to figure out how to deal with that phenomenon cause they’re all dug in fighting each other on tv, social media and message boards.

again, what would be the chart. wealthy: profession please, so I can finish what Im about to conclude on the wealthy or not wealthy.

what would you consider wealthy. what class is that. give me a chart please.

Literally every level of wealth you go up (to a point) you will see the level of money/resources spent on schooling go up on average.

Here is a rough chart.

You have the poor people making under 30k a year that generally don't give af about school or if they do care they don't have enough info regarding school to really help the kids get the most out of their education. Their guidance usually begins and ends with "study more or I will beat your ***"

Then you have the lower middle class people making like 30-100k that know enough about school to help their kids do their homework and talk to the teachers to find out how they can help their kids more. Maybe they will scrape together money for a cheap tutor(maybe a high school kid or at best a college kid from a local decent school to help them with a class they are really struggling in. They will buy their kids princeton review SAT prep textbooks.

Then you have middle class people making 100k-500k that will send the kids to an SAT prep classes and hire good tutors(local HS teachers) for the core classes like math and English. They send their kids to either the elite public schools if they live in places like NJ or Mass. OR they send their kids to the good private schools that cost 20-30k a year.

Then you have the upper middle class guys making over 500k a year that are going to be hiring tutors(college professors) for every subject. They will be hiring 1on1 SAT tutors(not classes). The higher end people for this class even send their kids to elite prep high schools.

The rich doesn't even differ that much from the upper middle class guys, but they may or may not take it up a level. I know some that send their kids to public school. Some send their kids to Horace Mann. One guy has a English teacher at Columbia teaching his 4th grader how to write better. lol. Overall it is similar to the upper middle class level, but some may be hiring the best of the best for their child.

Obviously this is not set in stone. You have some billionaires that let their kids fvck around in HS because they are just going to work in the family business later in life. You have some middle class people breaking the bank to hire the best tutors for their kids. It depends, but it is a general guideline.

Depends on your definition of "conservative".

I'm sure yours and mine are different.
