Miami did not use the sliding scale. We required a minimum SAT score at all times. So we used "half sliding scale".

Willie Willaims had sufficient GPA and SAT for Miami.

Yep, no real talent at beach high after that with the exception of Ricardo Louis who went to Auburn and played in the NFL.

post grad military prep schools like Hargrave and Fork Union were more if you needed to improve just your test scores not both test scores and core classes.

That’s what diploma mills like a Choice Prep and University High were for.

Yeah, that's why I made the comment about Butch. And WVU was notorious for taking academic casualties, His grades must've been in a bad way if they didn't look His way.

I want to say donald heaven was later. I can remember in middle school Heaven coming to my home n he was heading to fsu then. 92 i wouldnt even remember it at all.
Heaven was a beast to..my dad and heaven sr were track teammates also ethenic sands father as well. Heaven played with santana and ethenic
 
Does a kid like Johnson get into Miami even today? I don't think so. A few posts on CIS recently about kids using NIL money to pay for other students to do their homework and papers. But there are also the Amando Blounts of the world who are brilliant at everything they do. And while Blount is surely the exception, Mario clearly prefers disciplined student/athletes and I cannot imagine him putting up with that type of fuccerry.

I looked it up and you’re right - heaven was a bit younger than brown and Perry. Still think there was one more dude on that OL with Perry and brown that was big. Drawing a blank.
