And that doesn’t surprise me, not sure how that is the governors problem. Had states mandated masks I feel the infection rate would be far lower.
It's not, and I'm not saying it was. People want to point fingers, but every governor did what they though was the best course of action.

South Dakota - didn't shut down - Just wait, cases are going to skyrocket!
New York - put positive patients back in homes because of a feared hospital surge - They killed the elderly!
Florida - reopened in May - The data's manipulated! - Too soon!

Most people are looking for a reason to criticize for political reasons and think every other country did so much better than we did without really understanding a **** thing.

Distance and disinfection were the two most critical things. Too many people ignored that for too long because they didn't know anybody with the virus. Once it started to hit home, people took notice.

Fair points and putting elderly back in nursing homes was inexcusable.

my biggest issues with southern states is the refusal to mandate masks, they help, not a perfect fix, nothing is, but it has helped reduce the spread.

Just a thought. If SD would have locked down, they would have re-opened by now because of low numbers. This puts them in the exact same position they would be in regardless of the action taken. Virus doesn't only go after people who didn't binge watch Netflix instead of living life.

Is any thing I stated not factual?
Cuomo handled it the opposite of perfect. The reason their cases are going down is because the virus already swept through their population, and Cuomo’s policies already killed a good number of the most vulnerable. All of this happening when manufacturing and hospitals weren’t ready.

The original goal was the flatten the curve in order for everyone to catch up. Florida was fine in that perspective. Their cases are rising at a higher than optimal rate, but treatment sequences are better than March, hospitals are prepared, and testing is leaps and bounds better. People are bound to die, but until they reach the abysmal levels they did in NY, Desantis is clearly doing a better job

As long as the healthcare system doesn't exceed capacity, we'll have successfully done that. We didn't have that even in NY, despite dire observations of refrigerated morgue trucks.

NYC was a worst case scenario, and they managed the hospital census to the point that extra resources and beds put on standby were never utilized.

But yet we have constant regurgitating of hospital doomsday scenarios. The doomsday scenario has already happened once, and even though NY mismanaged and botched it, they still slogged through it with no lack of bed or patient resources. But let’s just ignore that.

There was a backlog of data from the holiday weekend. Many states didn’t even report numbers Friday-Sunday. Let’s see where the next few days go. Day to day doesn’t matter much. Follow the 7 day averages to get a better idea of where we are as a country.

Agreed about the backlog effect but it also comes into play when clowns like Clay Travis cite death rates based on Sunday afternoon released stats and are like "We're at an all time low!".

Nonetheless, this ain't lookin' great.

It's sad when people feel the need to hide information and put people at risk. I live in NYS and have never been a fan of Governor Cuomo but he has been cautious, and we seem to be heading in the right direction. It seems like many states could have taken tips from what he did and followed suit and they didn't and cases are skyrocketing.

What in theeee actual ****...

Not to mention that we weren't the only nation to make its own kits. The WHO always focuses on getting kits into the hands of the third world countries that do not have the capacity to make their own. The U.S. always develops their own along with tons of other nations including Germany, Japan, China, and France...these nations have advanced research capabilities and always want to make their own tests that they trust. It just so happens that this time the CDC botched it due to various factors. One being there wasn't an abundant supply of viral sequences early on.

So TheOriginalCane left out many key facts that basically turns his statement into an untruth. Funny when it comes under the guise of not being political...either it was a just ignorance or being intellectually dishonest.
Conjecture and bulls*** stated as fact. Dumb.
