Also, Mayweather hit a lot harder than people give him credit for. Before he injured his hands he was knocking people tf out. Thats why mayweather always tried to fight the smother type boxers. Once they get caught with that straight right off a shoulder roll, which is about as close to as powerful as a haymaker as you can get, they stop smothering him.

Pacquiao caught a quick, smooth counter in the first round of their fight. Dude was gunshy from that moment on.

Floyd clearly had enough power to gain the respect of his opponents.

Yup. It happens every time. Mayweathers hands can't hold up for a full 12 rounds of aggressive punching, but he can land enough power shots to make them back the fvck off. It happens every single fight. The guys come in swinging until they get hit with a counter. Then they become gunshy.

Then you have all the casual fans who come in with. "come on Pac just charge him, eat a few shots, and KO him". If he did that he would have been laid out on the canvas. Even monsters like Gatti got gun shy with him.

Also what u dont see hurts the most and FM u dont see it when he hits u.....those damage more then something u can see

Those fans dont understand the sport or never fought in there life. Lol ive heard that same **** charge him like really....watch boxing for a few years study it then come back and talk(not u ogh just in general to those charge people).....i agree with u man. Same **** with connor FM walked him down and didnt care to get him there was no power behind the punches mma punches and boxing r different and different distances. Once i saw FM willing to get hit to walk him down im like thisnis over....fm would never do that with a contender in boxing

Nah I know what you meant bro. 100% facts. These guys think its a street brawl and you can just charge with your head down. LMAO. These are the same dudes that say schit like Damon Harrison would knock out Mike Tyson and schit like that lmao.

100% bro. I love MMA, but MMA fighters can't punch. If they had that pop in their punch they wouldn't have got into UFC making 1 mil a fight. They would have tried to do boxing and make 50 mil a fight. Its like your not gunna see guys with NFL talent trying to become Rugby players because the money isn't there.

Plus, like you said, they have a more square stance because they need to block takedowns and they can't only practice punches so they spend way less time on punching.
