OT: Breaking DeBoer Fired

Any Stars fans in here? Kinda surprising

Thats Good Robert Deniro GIF

I only watched the final game of the Stars' series with Edmonton and thought that Edmonton was so much better than Dallas that Edmonton looked like they were on a power play most of the game. Dallas looked completely overmatched in that game.

Deboer is a good coach who has done a pretty good job everywhere he's been, but it looks like his teams improve and then get worse. That didn't happen with Dallas as they consistently won around 50 games/year while he was there.

Dallas has one of the most stacked rosters in the NHL, if not THE most, aside from maybe the Florida Panthers. They should've put up a much better fight against Edmonton. Although, to be fair, even though the Oilers are top-heavy, they have two MVP players on the same team who can take over a game. They're like having prime Ovechkin and Crosby on the same team.

It was just one thing but throwing his player under the bus at the end of the WCF was the last straw. No way he was coming back from that.

I watched an follow NHL hockey and I think the firing was expected and correct. Three times he has failed to get into the Stanley Cup Finals and he pulled his star goalie Oettinger too. I think it was a sound business decision by management.
