Lol. I used to play neighborhood football as a kid at what was Polo Park on the Beach as a kid and then go eat at the Burger King on 41st street and they were giving those tickets away.

I’ve given up on pro sports. I grew up going to Canes and Fins games but this is all I follow now. I’m a shell of the sports fan I used to be.

Yeah, guess I took it the wrong way when you compared me to your ex, and then jokingly asked if I were a Latin woman.

I watch a lot of replays..it's good for my nerves.
Btw, I do have this vague memory of going in a BK somewhere along the Palmetto between St. Thomas and 57th Ave. and snagging some tix - I think for a game against Vandy.

Yup me too. I was a sunshine pumper after Clemson. "If we'd got this bounce or that call, we'd have been close." Then I saw the turds dropped against Pitt and UVA. Just lazy play, especially on offense. Bakers D didn't outperform but defense was at least mediocre. Harley saved the game against UVA. If he'd played as poorly as he did the other games this season Miami loses that game. Lashlee is not getting the most out of the players like I expected. I know it might sound like I'm expecting miracles. I just want to see effort. Look, if an WR goes up for the ball, uses his body and fights for the pass and then gets drilled and can't complete the reception, I'm not going to dog the player because he gave his all. If a LB fights through a block, takes a good angle and a RB like Etienne drags him 6 yards, again, I am not faulting the LB.
 
My biggest takeaway from game. Must be nice to have a freshman QB make his first start ever and have a game as good as the Clemson freshman had. One can only dream

BC is 4-3, with a 40-14 loss to VT and a 26-22 loss to UNC (who lost to FSU). Let's actually follow BC and see if this was a fluke or sign of things to come.

Stupid thread. Miami didn’t lose 4 starters including their star QB against a bad UVA team. BC is actually pretty good. But whatever makes you super fans sleep better.

U know I respect u as a poster, but I gotta question some things in this post:

1. Manny is not, I repeat NOT close to getting angry. I will continue to beat this drum until we finally realize this: Manny has been here for 5 yrs. The only time Manny showed any frustration was when Butch had his goons “cramp up” every other play. He’s not that guy.

2. If 6-7 hurt deep, then we wouldn’t see the same chit, i.e immature celebrations when struggling w/ mediocre teams. Rather, we would see a coach fist bumping the other opponent, and giving his team an ear full of the sloppiness & disjointedness that continues to plague this team. It’s one thing to celebrate beating a worthy opponent, it’s a whole different beast when u’re celebrating against hella inferior teams.

Now as far as recruiting; may I are mind you what Golden did after a 6-6 record & being under sanctions and NCAA investigation? After the 2011 season, he pulled in the 9th ranked class in the nation. That class composed of two 5 stars (Duke & Tracy) and a class that totaled 21 So Fla players.

May I remind you what Golden did after his 7-5 2012 season, still dealing w the NCAA? He then pulled in the #14 class which included 5 So Fla recruits, but top 7 National recruits at their position. (Smaller class than 2012).

You know what have to show for that? Bull chit, that’s what.

All that talent wasted b/c coaching & development, and scheme tricked it off. Point being, recruiting is one thing, but development is another. ****, you can buy all the ingredients in the world to make gumbo, but if u don’t put that chit together properly or know what to do w/ the ingredients, that chit will taste like hamster stew (never had it, and neither should u. Lol)

I just need to remind ppl that before we start saying how close this or how close that, and look at this or look at that.....we’ve been down this road. We’ve overhyped before. Just look & watch. I want Manny to succeed, I want to eat the biggest crow dinner & I was willing to last yr....but what u posted, I don’t see, feel, observe, or more importantly witness from this squad. If we come out firing against
NC St, and mind you, statistically, we are a far better team than them in every category; then maybe that light bulb has turned on. Til then, even w/ the 5-1 start, it’s TBD on this staff. (By the way, my Bears were once 5-1 & I told everyone in my circle it was fool’s gold based upon play, and LAR completely exposed that).
