Just wondering if this is a new source of CIS income, i.e. convinced advertisers they can tap into affluent spanish-speaking prospects via this board or is it just an algorithm effect because the board has "Miami" typed into it continously.

Expect a PM from Little Havana Juan.

Such a pleasant little ****head isn't he?

Usually the ads you see have more to do with you than the site they're on

Yeah, I'm aware of those algorithms; I get a ton of World of Tanks, World of Warships, etc. ads because I frequent military-themed sites (Defense News, Jane's Defense, National Interest), etc.

I don't visit Spanish language sites and the ones I'm getting on CIS are for big-ticket items, i.e. Home Depot appliances, installation services and ones for car dealerships.

I know there are settings on some browsers that can cause you to be identified as a Spanish speaker. It'd be a major ***** up for a large company like Home Depot to not set a Spanish language requirement on a Spanish ad campaign.

Thanks! Unfortunately, i'm monolingual; I only speak a very small smatering of Turkish, German, Spanish and Arabic.

Speaking of Arabic, I noticed after a number of web inquiries on the whole Kaaya/Golden Lions matter, I got an grocery ad mentioning Halal foods...The Detroit metro area has the largest concentration of Arab-Americans (yes, greater than NYC)...Those algorithms are quick.

Quite interestingly, there is an ad for Babel (language proficiency software) on the top banner as I am typing this sentence.

I don't know why he PM'd me. It's not like I insulted Laz or anything.

We created a thread of his PM's to people a long time ago.

Is that why all my ads are about pornhub?

Man, now that was one of the all time great threads a few years back...

This same thread but some dude complaining about why he always got adult 'themed' advertising.

CIS peps explaining it to him in there own ah unique way...F*ck it was funny.

I didn't know that. I need to find it and add mine in. Does he just pick random people like a serial killer?
