You do realize a socialist state is in fact capitalists. You socialism can not be a thing without capitalism, so I'm completely agree and aware. They are capitalist that practice socialism, i.e., encourage unionization, social welfare and egalitarian personal liberties, etc.
Meanwhile, America practices free market capitalism and libertarian-ism and let's the markets decide the fate of most decision (i.e., off short investments with no checks and balances, private health care and education, gov't does not get involved in pay scale, or very little). America is in fact one of the free-est and most democratic countries, since you vote on sheriff, judicial council, etc., which many including mine Canada do not.
Works some places other they don't. I don't think this crisis showed vast differences between countries, in showed the difference between classes within the societies of them all. (I.e., the poor and in America mainly black population, for example have to delivery pizzas to people who can sit on home in their pajamas, and have to risk their lives), the essential workers or those that can't work from home, are typical low paid jobs.
I think this is a global problem and not a state problem or political or monetary systems. Just shows that every country, excluding maybe two, didn't have a "holy ****" plan.
