8.2 points per game, dude. Don’t care who they played. The defense is elite. They really did not play anyone great during the regular season so it is difficult to tell from highlights. The one team that did give them trouble in the first half was Penn State. Their Backs looked pretty good on toss plays, some jet sweeps, end arounds, shovel passes. I think we can emulate some of the things they did with our backs and Malachi and Lofton. Hopefully for 4 quarters.
Against Indiana they looked pretty stout. But still gave up some running plays in chunks. I really do think we have a chance to wear them down if we keep with the run and not stray away from it with gimmicks.
It may be elite statistically but I want to see it against a team with a great OL and depth at the skills.8.2 points per game, dude. Don’t care who they played. The defense is elite.
Big 10 dont play offense eitherIt may be elite statistically but I want to see it against a team with a great OL and depth at the skills.
They really did not see that much talent in any of the games they won.
Oh My...‘86 Bears.
They are going to be all over #10. No way in **** they let him do his thing....It may be elite statistically but I want to see it against a team with a great OL and depth at the skills.

Indiana scores pts and giving up 8 pts a game against even a ****** p4 schedule is no fluke. Downs is a know quantity and Arvell Reese explodes off the screen as NFL ready. They have veteran players in the back end who started as part of their title run last season. The front 4 is the weakest part of their defense in that it isnt littered with difference making playmakers just guys who do their job. But it is still talent rich and formidable.Hard to really tell with the lack of competition they’ve played this year. Literally one of the worst schedules in power 4 by a wide margin.
It's actually a combo of 1985 Chicago Bears, the 1976 Pittsburgh Steelers (Steel Curtain), and the 2000 Baltimore Ravens but much better.
This OSU defense is definitely better in terms of personnel. But it remains to be seen whether they're truly elite or if they're just very good.Didn’t we just play a historic least amount of third down conversion in TAMU?
Good ole CIS the next team is always the 01 canes
Always fun looking at where the offense(s) rank that they played…This OSU defense is definitely better in terms of personnel. But it remains to be seen whether they're truly elite or if they're just very good.
The thing is Cribby, I don’t think they can get pressure on us with just their front four. So even though they don’t want to blitz, I think they’re gonna have to commit to that if they want a shot at putting pressure on Beck. This is a much better defense than A&M with better size. They don’t need to blitz like them either.
They don’t need to get quick pressure when there’ll be confusion in the backend. That extra second or two can lead to a sack or even worse a turnover. Which is why I keep saying don’t beat ourselves. The thing is Cribby, I don’t think they can get pressure on us with just their front four.
