Orlando guys

If what you say is true, than I guess Miami is the exception. Our 5's are like 8's and 9's in other cities. Crème d' la crème down here.

Maybe it’s pure numbers and transplants but I’ll put NYC against anywhere. That’s just me though.

I'm here in Orlando 18yrs Now.....No Cane Bar's whatsoever....Major UF & FSU Town...Major UF Donors (John Morgan...And Stumpy Harris)....Plenty of UM fans...but Cot **** What I Went Through During Tebow Days....How I Refrained From Committing Numerous Homicides Is A Miracle In Itself...

@caneinorlando

I know this is a long shot but here goes. 18 years ago(2000 season) we opened the season against McNeese St but I couldn't find the game anywhere so I posted on grassy and someone offered to give me a VHS recording of the game. We arranged for him to drop the tape off at my place of employment(Bahama Breeze Altamonte Springs) The guy dropped the tape off but did it before I got to work so I never got the chance to meet and thank the guy in person. Was that you by any chance?

Francis Sawyer....Not me...but I do remember you on Grassy....

I live in downtown Orlando. Even Gator bars/enthusiasm doesn't seem to exist anymore. it's all Noles here these days. Wall Street downtown will have a massive block party for UM/FSU if you don't go to the game

No buddy, A 5 is a 5 and an 8 is an 8.
Location won’t make em look better nor worse. Lol

Brandon could be a compromise.

Hurricane grill and wings is good I've gone the last few years for games..

Might have to change my signature tho... Spent last 7 years in Orlando but moved up to Akron Ohio last week for work. Nothing but suckeye fans here. Wish me luck people

Alright, stay with me here. A chick rated a 5 here is like an 8 there. It's the equivalent of saying a 3-star prospect playing HS FB in Miami-Dade, very easily could be a 4 or 5 star just about anywhere else. Whether it's the babes or HS FB prospects, our standards are just a tad bit higher than other places.

Just moved down here from Atlanta but I wanted to know if their were any Cane bars around. We got Ubereats from Hurricane Grill yesterday but Im not sure if its actually a Cane watch party bar. Thanks!

I went to Duffy's in Altamonte last year. I have been doing the Orlando Game Watch parties for years. We have a good bunch of people. When you get there, ask for the people involved like Adrian Lloyd. He'll put you on the e-mail list.

Go to the Orlando Canes Page on Facebook!

Actually going to be in Orlando this weekend.....going to need to find a place to watch the game.

That's just a bar mang. Also there are no Cane bars in O-town. You are behind enemy lines in Gator country my friend. The end result is going to be a bubbling up of venomous hate for everything Gator by mid september. Celebrate it, let it flow through you, and unleash it upon the enemy with glorious thirst.

He is about to have an entirely new appreciation for the gator tears thread. Shall witness the mental gymnastics in real life of what they will go through to try to claim some kind of superiority. I am sure he will hear from kids whose parents were not even born at the time about a game where the defense just layed down so they could get some kind of scoring record.

Look, here is the truth.

There are plenty of Miami fans in Orlando, but we have a few problems. First, we are close enough to Miami that many of the hardcore fans are going to drive to games. I would gladly join this watch-party thing, but I have season tickets.

Second, until recently, there were many times when the "lesser" Miami games were not carried on a channel that could be picked up locally by more than a few hardcore sports bars. Should not be much of an issue any longer.

Third, and let's not deny this, there is a bit of a differential (at times) between a UM alum watch party and a UM fan watch party. I am in that middle overlap zone, where I am both an alum as well as a very boisterous fan when watching in public places. So, yeah, sometimes we have an alumni function that might be a bit sedate by the standards of some on this board.

I would like to find a central spot...that has both good food and beverages, and that is comfortable for a 3-4 hour event. For instance, even though it is a chain, I think the food at Twin Peaks is above-par for a breastaurant.

Whatever we do, we need to commit to it year round, we need to have a few hoops game watch parties as well, and we need to make it a place that is worth our patronage year-round.

If people make suggestions, I am willing to do the site visits and evaluations.
