The only way to truly show that you want/expect change during times like these is to organize and show up.

If a campaign was created to pick one day where a good portion of fans show up to the Hecht Center to protest the state of the program and truly demand excellence, it could create some media noise and put even more pressure on the BOT/President to act.

I know it can be hard enough to have fans show up at the games, so if it doesn't work, I think more and more and more banners are needed - and in the offseason too.

Hmmm.... last we planned this, it was to oust Coker under Butch in 1998.... remember the planned protest in front of Mark Light...

... Grassy days

Just my opinion but I don't think that your going to get a big turn out. Most people are not overreacting to one bad year in which the hits keep coming. I want change to but I'm also willing to see what happens in the off season before demanding people's heads. Richt has some pressure on him to hire an OC and he hasn't given me reason to believe that he won't hit a home run on the DC hire.

Let's see how it plays out and if we don't like the outcomes, then let the planes fly.

I would. Nothing wrong with a peaceful protest. The more people, the better. Excercise your freedom of speech. Everyone inspired now? Awesome.

I did this dolo right before the FIU game this year and was almost negged off the board. That said I am willing to fly down and do it again.

U keep saying one bad year, and you keep being wrong.

If the local rags get a wind of it, it might get some opinion press from Manny.

I agree to an extent, but my question is, "How late is too late?" in this situation? Are we willing to let this impact next year? Because based on everything that's going on right now, next year will be another 7-5 season. We all know it takes years to truly turn a program around, and you really can't have any hiccups. This is one **** of a hiccup and like you said, the hits keep coming. I doubt this is the last one before January arrives.

I can call the 4 people that showed up at the "protest" to save the OB.

It's Miami. We don't do this stuff. Or we don't do it well at least (sans Elian). The only place this stuff actually happens in college sports is in big college towns where thousands of actual students can mobilize in minutes- see the demonstrations at Penn State, Michigan, Tennessee, Indiana, etc.

Which would be awesome. With social media being the way it is, it could get national attention if it’s done right. Just don’t turn it into an Antifa event.

This fan base is far too spread out to pull that off. I think the turnout would be weak enough that the admin wouid be emboldened.

It's 2018. Flying banners is so 1998. With all this technology, would think the ornery idiots would have a better solution than that prehistoric way of protesting.

Build a website. Launch social media platforms. There are a slew of other ways for voices to be heard than to fly a goddamned plane with a banner an hour before kickoff, while people are drunkenly tailgating and can barely see two inches in front of their nose—let alone a mile high in the sky.
