Like…come on really? Pretty obvious KirkPlease no rinse and repeat. Even Kirk Herbstreight compared it to the debacle at UNC v Miami. What do both have in common.?
Utah is just better than them. Bad matchup
Please someone post gif of Utah coach spanking MarioPlease no rinse and repeat. Even Kirk Herbstreight compared it to the debacle at UNC v Miami. What do both have in common.?
I really don’t understand how you out of anyone can talk. You made excuse after excuse for Manny, you were never this critical. In fact, when @RVACane was banning Manny supporters for defending him after the fsu lost, you were nowhere to be found. You slowly came back in making little comments.
That's not the reality of the market. Then we shouldn't be paying max money to him. Pay him like the level 2 coach he is. If his ceiling is 11 wins, by year 4 there will be grumblings
Lane is an upgrade over Manny....I just used EL as an example. If the next coach knows that recruiting is important he goes an get EL (or tries to). If we hired Diaz or Golden I'm sure they would be intimidated and not even visit the kid. Let's see what Mario doesFair enough. That's why I asked for your opinion. You are always straight forward and consistent with your message. I agree with your philosophy in a general sense but there are a few other things I would add. Mainly the fact that coaching will most certainly come into play sooner or later. Yes I love the idea of loading up on talent but we also need the coaching in order to develop and to put them in the right system etc.
College football especially in today's game is about having a solid, well built infrastructure in place where all of the above are properly addressed. The only question that is truly relevant regarding Mario is the following. Does the AD feel that his upside as a GameDay coach justifies making him one of the top paid coaches in the game? He already knows that Mario is an elite recruiter. Is Mario the type of coach that excels at program building? Is Mario the type of CEO that could be trusted to choose and to hire the very best coordinators and staff that he can surround himself with? Is Mario the type of CEO that will ensure that the program has the proper infrastructure in place to have us competing with the game's elite? If the answer is yes then by all means make a competitive offer and hire the man.
You say Lane Kiffin has failed a lot and that statement is not unfair. However does it paint an accurate and honest picture of what Lane Kiffin could potentially bring to the table here? I'm not so sure. Kiffin has had his rough spots. No one can deny that. In my opinion I feel that he has done a very good job of staying the course, learning from failure and continuing to grow as a coach. I believe that Kiffin has come a long way from the time he was fired from USC and left on the tarmac. That type of embarrassing defeat/failure would have crushed a lesser man but Kiffin kept it going and continued to keep learning and improving his craft as an offensive minded head coach. I think Lane Kiffin could do very well here.
One more thing.....You used Earl Little Jr. as an example of a player the next coach should try to flip. Are you that high on the kid or were you just using his name as an example?
@TheToadSage it's almost unbelievable but this is a good signThat’s quite a story.
Brian Kelly tooChip Kelly and Lincoln Rileywould like to have word with you.
How many times have you ripped an existing UM coach for losing games with this kind of talent disparity?@TheToadSage it's almost unbelievable but this is a good sign

You’re right it is almost unbelievable.
There are no excuses. Utah was and is the better team. They are not better talent wise, which makes me worry. This is your attempt to excuse Mario’s team losing by a combined score of 76-17 to the same inferior Utah team within a span of two weeks?
Try harder.
Good way to put it - it'll prove early on if he's willing to adapt to the personnel we have, maximize our strengths and minimize our weaknesses. He got manhandled by the same team twice. He's in year 4 and the best QB he recruited/developed for this season is that guy?
That's on him. There's nothing wrong with pointing out his shortcomings. Hopefully he's savvy enough to find an OC that's a QB maximizer once he gets to Miami.
any real coach would kick flagg to the curb. Mario, lane, etc will walk in and see a g5 kid who is overweight? he should have a chip on his shoulder. This is a rebuild fans need to realize that. When u trotting out Flagg as your linebacker in a Miami jersey.....that's terrible. The roster needs hella work. We got some guys but who can say with their account on the line that we have some top ten talent on this roster.
They got curb stomped twice. Defenders weren't trying to tackle anyone. The OC is horrible. Oh and a player called Mario a fraud. Meanwhile Lane is begging UM to let him bring Bama's S&C down here. You can't make this up.This is your attempt to excuse Mario’s team losing by a combined score of 76-17 to the same inferior Utah team within a span of two weeks?

Oh I will if Mario screws up trust that I'm not loyal to a HC I'm loyal to results. And I can deal with result if I look at the recruiting rankings and we at number 3 in the country....and bama is being held off. I can deal with that when real help in on the way.@Dwinstitles he’s not lying. You would have a YouTube rant waiting
Yea that dude would be transferring with Lane or Mario 100%. But but but his IQ and his mvps in HS....he will be a good one blah blah blah. When we told them from day 1 a 4.9 40 is a huge red flagany real coach would kick flagg to the curb. Mario, lane, etc will walk in and see a g5 kid who is overweight? he should have a chip on his shoulder.
