Oregon was flat cuz team could tell Cristobal was out

I always think the elites including us at UM (when we were on top) always won with Joe's......we saw the NFL and our first rounders household names and hall of famers. Every team that is in power throws money at recruiting and good staffers who recruit....along with smart guys but they get their kids. When we were at our best we beat u one on one....our matchups we're better than our rivals....bama and the higher powers have better matchups than the rest. The first HC who stops sfla from leaking blood wins big here. Can Lane or amario bring me Earl littler Jr........who can change that kids mind? I think Mario has a better chance too.......I think Lane has failed alot and is riding those bama coat tails. If he calls plays as a coord yes take him....leading men nah. Bring me an alpha like Mario and if he fails he fails....but it's a best hire since Butch imo.
Fair enough. That's why I asked for your opinion. You are always straight forward and consistent with your message. I agree with your philosophy in a general sense but there are a few other things I would add. Mainly the fact that coaching will most certainly come into play sooner or later. Yes I love the idea of loading up on talent but we also need the coaching in order to develop and to put them in the right system etc.

College football especially in today's game is about having a solid, well built infrastructure in place where all of the above are properly addressed. The only question that is truly relevant regarding Mario is the following. Does the AD feel that his upside as a GameDay coach justifies making him one of the top paid coaches in the game? He already knows that Mario is an elite recruiter. Is Mario the type of coach that excels at program building? Is Mario the type of CEO that could be trusted to choose and to hire the very best coordinators and staff that he can surround himself with? Is Mario the type of CEO that will ensure that the program has the proper infrastructure in place to have us competing with the game's elite? If the answer is yes then by all means make a competitive offer and hire the man.

You say Lane Kiffin has failed a lot and that statement is not unfair. However does it paint an accurate and honest picture of what Lane Kiffin could potentially bring to the table here? I'm not so sure. Kiffin has had his rough spots. No one can deny that. In my opinion I feel that he has done a very good job of staying the course, learning from failure and continuing to grow as a coach. I believe that Kiffin has come a long way from the time he was fired from USC and left on the tarmac. That type of embarrassing defeat/failure would have crushed a lesser man but Kiffin kept it going and continued to keep learning and improving his craft as an offensive minded head coach. I think Lane Kiffin could do very well here.

One more thing.....You used Earl Little Jr. as an example of a player the next coach should try to flip. Are you that high on the kid or were you just using his name as an example?

Perhaps Utah is just better.

The demographics and social dynamics swung to Utah's favor over 10 years ago vs Oregon. They are starting to see the fruits of it.
They are better. Beat them twice fairly easily but I didn’t see any spark, energy or anger that you would think a team would have vs the team that knocked them out of the cfp two wks ago

Earl little jr is over rated. He may grow into being an elite corner but his recruiting ranking is high because of his dads pr pushing his kid I believe.

Even if he was elite, his dads drama is not worth it. He would be tweeting critiques and causing drama when his kid isn’t starting year 2 imo

Nah. They have an average QB and average weapons and a hit or miss defense. They're a flawed team and we know that. Mario is not the perfect coaching specimen, we know that. But who is? Kiffen?
Then we shouldn't be paying max money to him. Pay him like the level 2 coach he is. If his ceiling is 11 wins, by year 4 there will be grumblings

Oregon vs Stanford from back on 10/2/21...

I think the players were distracted by the rumors then too.

He’s only distracted when he loses. It’s a new targeted behavioral disorder That randomly pops up on certain Saturdays. He’s had it since coaching at the end of Alabama due to Saban yelling at him.

So once he comes here and we figure out treatment it’s 15-0 time.

Lmaoo look at everyone on CIS taking the bullets for Mario

My big questions about Wario still exist.
1)can he surround himself with good coaches? Not a clue because his OC and DC are both old garbage
2)Adjusting in big games. Yeah.
3) Who on earth would ever play Brown? Not the first time I’ve seen him play and good lord. There HAS to be someone else. Favorites game is gonna go ever well here

Still much better than diaz and more than willing to give him a shot though

yet today oregon has more losses than OSU and 2 losses to a team not even ranked in the top 20. and a 3rd loss to a team not ever ranked this year.........

who is prepared?
To be fair, Utah came into the game at #17, and will most likely be #12 in the next poll.

Lmao. This is the same Phanbase who says its the coaches job to have the team prepared to play lol.
So, you think that same person or better yet, that same type of fan you're describing defines the entire fan base? Got it! Now, that's funny.

Dude, Laugh all you want brother. Laughter is good for the soul but some of ya'll find the weirdest ****t to laugh at.

I got news for ya. Mario"s ain't even my #1 or 2 choice to replace Manny. But he's 100x's the head coach that Manny is or ever will be. We'd be extremely lucky to have him here compared to this freaking lispy fan boy freak show we got running around on the sidelines acting like a jilted teenager on Saturdays. Mario would be an upgrade of epic proportions yet some of ya'll sitting here looking for something to *****h about? Thats just some of the weirdest ****t ever.

I’ve seen every excuse used. No way to spin it. It was a bad loss. Offense looked to have no plan. Defense played soft all night and couldn’t tackle. Special teams had a blunder. There were also critical penaltys.

Mario’s team looked no different then what we put on the field every week. Big red flags.

I know it’s only one game but either way it doesn’t look good.
