Oregon vs UCLA 3:30 pm

UCLA 31
Oregon 23

Half of CIS celebrates that this will somehow lower Luigi's buyout and/or convince him to come here.

The other half of CIS hopes this takes him out of consideration for our hopefully imminent vacancy.
It’s Miami: Chud or Schiano. Luigi is stuck in Endless Eugene. Wait until USC gets going. He’ll wish he was back at FIU.

Many here would like him to lose just so they can say, see he sucks, and use it as proof that he is not good enough to coach here....whatever that means.

Sounds like a win-win to me.

That's fair and true. I'd just say that if you've been a longtime Luigi detractor that a loss today is also fair to use as just another example in your case against the guy. Or at least against the canonization of the guy because if the alternative is Chud or Jeff Lebby or Dan Orlovsky's cousin then sign me up for the first pep rally at Columbus High if we get Cristobal.

One loss with a conference championship makes it harder for him to leave. I‘d just prefer two losses to increase our chances.
Understand, best if he doesn't even get into the championship game then. I sure do want him at the U, the way he can recruit our roster would be loaded again with talent. The key will be the staff that he can put together, especially OC and DC.

I think we need to sit you down with LCE for a debate about Mario.

We could sell tickets.
Lce could go back and use my very own anti Mario arguments I’ve used on this very board lol. The last year I’ve bought in and think he’d be the best choice. He checks **** near every box we’ve been lacking in.

Lol I would never.

I’m not anti-Mario, I have difference in philosophy for the program in the future going forward.

I just think Miami needs to get out of only thinking former Canes or only people with South FL connections can coach here. I’m of the belief we’ve become too homogeneous & we keep repeating the same mistake over & over again.

I think Mario is a good coach, but I’m doubtful he’s the savior that a lot of fans have made him out to be.

Woah, woah, woah, slow your roll.

I haven't even started pricing the tickets yet!

I think we have the same philosophy on building a program , especially in todays football. As you know Miami is a different place though , there’s so much more to this job than x’s/o’s. The politics alone is different than 90 percent of schools.

The only real thing that excites me about the prospect of Cristobal is the numerous stories where he's *****ed out other HCs for recruits.

As always, if you can keep enough of the elite SoFl talent home we'll be a team to be reckoned with. Someone that can go head to head with Smart / Saban (and their bags) and keep (one of) the next Cooper / Jeudy et al home would be massive.
