Oregon Extends Cristobal

Mario is an interesting candidate that’s for sure.

Nine of his last 14 games vs. the P5 have been decided by one score, ranging from Ohio State to winless Cal. But overall he wins most of them.

Right now that’s something that’s sorely lacking with our program.

Can someone anyone explain to me how Oregon who will do whatever it takes to win, loses a game every year they shouldn’t?!?! Just curious…
Who the **** goes undefeated besides Alabama these days? So your coaching search is limited to all who go undefeated.......we should do well with that as the criteria. He isn't a perfect candidate, but the hope is that he's learned enough under Saban, running two programs also and that his recruiting kills it in south florida. But lets sit and wait for the undefeated Saban and Dabo to come over.

These delusional people are waiting for the Bill Belichick hire.

Saban lost to a 3 loss A&M. LSU has nothing to lose in the last game of the season, might make it 4 losses for Jimbo.

I think thats exactly what Mario is though. He is not some cutting edge offensive or defensive genius who gives you a huge schematic advantage. You want that you need to look at Kiffin or maybe even Aranda. Those are the potential home run guys but with much more risk as well.

What he does bring is strong, intense leadership combined with a no nonsense attitude and high end recruiting. I would expect his version of UM to be physical, mentally tough and talented. Maybe they dont beat people 48 - 7 and would probably be in more close games than they should but they will also typically win those close games and rise to the occasion against top competition instead of folding.

Im not convinced he gets us national championships but I do think he gets the U back to finishing the year in the top 10-15 range consistently. Right now, I would gladly take it.

Mario is better than any coach the Canes have had in the last two decades. The Mario discussion is pointless because Oregon is going to back the Brinks up to Mario’s house and unload all the greenbacks Mario can count. As a matter of fact, I am not certain that Kiffin, Herman or any other preferred candidates would be available to us.

IMHO, the Canes should do its due diligence and explore other more realistic viable options.

So your saying Mario is better than the bums who got us here...

Someone needs to get this message into the BOTS hands FAST... cuz I am pretty sure they were looking for someone who wasn't as good as the bums they replaced already.

You wouldn’t know the difference between clowning, legitimate discussion and your **** with a map and a slide show.
Ok Mr 15 and 0! And don’t forget to porst on here for the thousandth time how Mario barely wins a game against Cal but conveniently leave out the fact he beat Ohio state at the horse shoe and has won the pac 12 twice and about to be a third time this year along with a rose bowl win. Lol oh and don’t forget to lecture us all on how Manure is “basically” on par with Mario career wise! Lmao 🤢🤮

The Mario thing will have to be under the table. He cannot publically interview for the job and NOT get it. Both sides know that.

I believe that Oregon will dig their heels in to keep him if he's torn.

This might end up being Mario's only chance to coach his former school ever.

He isn't worth all of that Miami style...which is 2 grad assistants as coordinators....:apologetic::apologetic::apologetic::apologetic::apologetic:
