Opponent Film Breakdown: Toledo

If this defense give up 28 points that is going to be a huge disappointment and an indictment that the defense is not as good as advertised.

Great write up only thing is you left off their best receiver Cody Thompson. He'd be in the NFL right now if he didn't get hurt the week after our game last year. Also he had 5 receptions for 114 yards on us. He was on pace to finish with about 1400 yards last year that would've put him 6th in the country.

Not really. Toledo can play offense that's what they're good at they'll get points. The bigger indictment will be if our offense cant score at least 40 on their defense.

Man the beginning of the game defensively could be ugly. I can see alot of blow assignments and open areas with the LBs in coverage. Add that to the fact that there is only one game film on them this season. Manny and the defense might really put us behind the 8 ball

For those hoping for a Malik meltdown, it's unlikely to happen this week. He roasted Toledo last year (how bad does your defense have to be to get killed by Rosier?) .I'm hoping for a little QB rotation and we get to Perry play a few series with the #1s. Hopefully he can improve on last week and make a move for more playing time or even the starting position.

We’re good.

But tape is out on rosier and teams now know how to stop him. Pitt did it, Wisconsin did it, Clemson definitely did it, as well as LSU. I am hoping but kinda doubtful we see 12 have a game similar to the one he had last year against them.

Fully expect their offense to give us fits at times. They will have prepared for mannys “send the House” blitzes that are clearly telegraphed and they’ll eat in zone.
They wrecked Delaney last year let’s hope dean is awake for this.
Probably closer than we want but a W is a W

Yes. I'm glad Bandy is back from his one game vacation. Your boy Delaney was responsible for too many LSwho catches and two CRITICAL 1st down's, in the game three weeks ago,

It doesn't take 10 games worth of film for coaches to figure out who can play and who can't. Every opposing staff knew about Miami's quarterback issues before the season even started. The gameplan for pretty much every opponent from week 1 was to stop the run and make Malik beat you. Just because Pitt was the first team to beat Miami, doesn't mean they were the first team to employ that strategy. Everyone else with the exception of Notre Dame (strangely) played Miami the same way. The offense was good enough to squeak by some of the better teams that tried it and other teams where just overwhelmed by Miami's offensive skill talent.

Last year, Toledo came out **** bent on stopping the running game and forcing Rosier to make passes. Walton gashed them for over 200 yards and Rosier hit them for over 300 passing. They just don't have the horses.

Don't let my post hide my opinion that we need to go in a different direction at quarterback. I've always Thought Rosier was too streaky and when he's off, he's just horrible.

Delaney graduated after last year????

Nesta and Willis will give the Oline fits.

Should win by at least two scores.

The offense is what I'm worried about.

...or lack thereof.
