This is false, imo. there just aren’t that many guys who are ready to go who transfer. The transfer market is like a used clothing store. You might find some great items in it, but it’s all idiosyncratic and you have to be careful. The best prospects will always be the best Hs kids. I’d say except QB, where kids can get depth cart trapped and there’s a history of top transfers.
Last year our best players in no particular order were King, Phillips, Roche, Bolden and Williams.
Every year there are plenty of great players who end up in a bad spot. Hand picking a handful every year to help our team is a great strategy. Not exploiting it is archaic thinking.
