Only Miami Fans

You're supposedly a BBB guy but you would have been one of the first guys clamoring for Butch's firing his first go around.

Butch is in the same boat as Pitino. Once great, now old, and way too many warts to be hired by any legit program.

Butch is never getting hired here nor any other high profile place so just let it go and either root for success at Miami or change your handle to Drake and go get Bama bumper stickers.

Way better resume than Manny lol Really Butch didnt have no experience as a college HC or any sort of head coach college position so he was beyond unproven when he got hired at Miami atleast we know Manny is a solid college DC that has great potential of being a good college HC and knows the football program too.

I am rooting for success I want MD to prove me wrong again this is my opinion, and yea your right I would be the first to say Butch isnt doing well and I agree he probably wont land another high profile job.

U have fans on here talking about he bagging up when he never recruited well before and now there trying to convince themselves, its amazing to me how many of u get tricked by the brand new toy that was actually rewrapped and refurbished in a new color. I may look like a fool and I'll admit that if it turns out to a title but Im confident in saying this wont workout and no big time program would of hired him.

I mostly agree with what you are saying. I am highly skeptical and would not have picked Manny. However , what are we supposed to do ? Should we quit as fans and get rid of season tickets? I feel like I have no choice but to get behind Manny and crew. I am skeptical but love the canes. So I got no choice.

Give MD a chance he might prove you and all of us wrong. I too think it was a lazy hire, but give him a year to see what he does on the field and recruiting.

The Vols did it, they boycotted a coach and got there guy, but your right we dont have a choice its like we cant wake up from this nightmare.

That's funny, I knew when I woke up that a segment of our fanbase would be melting down about the HC no matter who it was we hired. Figured some would be dumb enough to already be calling for flying banners and spitting as much negativity as possible and crying that the sky is falling. I sure wasn't let down!

I feel ya brother.

I know a lot of people are saying his D is overrated but same time it’s not exactly a murders row of recruits.

A lot of 3 star recruits on this D playing significant time. Yes we definitely had some solid 4s and a guy like Shaq was more a national recruit but we can certainly do better recruiting

Not trying to talk myself into it but I think most of us are more aware than we were a few searches ago. We’ll see.
 
I think that in the Podcast D$ said it well as long as we win n Hardrock is jumping recruits will come. To add to that other than UF we should be favored in the rest of our games 10-2 is very reasonable. Ill tell u guys this much though n, i said it a month ago, Manny may not get us a natty but we aint ***1n losing 4 straight in the coastal/Acc again.

On a sidenote i wanted Babers or Cristobal. Babers because of his coaching tree n with a grad transfer like Hurts or somebody Dungey like we win the Coastal. Cristobal is an ELITE recruiter n would prob be the one to reestablish the "State of Miami" the quickest.
 
This all comes down to recruiting and we will know very soon. If he closes Bogle, Elam, Stevensonn etc. we know we have some potential.

No everytime we hire someone the board is filled with negative then the next day they sleep and talk themself into it..........then all u read is slurp slurp slurp no matter who it is. It happened with AG it happened with MR where handles were made like goldenera or getricht or some stupid ****. Rooting for coaches is always fail I root for the symbol on the helmet and voice my displeasure when i feel like its right to do it...I hate to be negative but I deal with facts only.

His success will boil down to:
1. Retaining Shaq, Pinckney, Jackson, Cager, Homer, Boulware and others thinking of leaving. Every coach since Butch has lost massive amounts of talent in their first year or two.
2. Landing a BIG time offensive staff.
3. WINNING in '19, win the coastal!

To do 3, I believe they have to sign 7-8 more big-time kids for '19 including at least one QB (GT or freshman).

If they can get to 10 wins, will the talented Juniors/RS-So leave after '19 much like Kaaya, Jenkins, Yearby, Gus, Allison... Diaz has to retain talented kids or we will be playing short-handed in '20 which would be his last year even after James signs him to a 10 year extension.

**** no I want MD to be elite and be at the top, thats all I care and that we are getting the pick of the litter and winning. I dont care who does it just do it.........I do care when I think a mistake was made.......but I could be wrong but i feel like I seen this movie before.
