One thing that needs to be addressed at RB

I thought you were going to say that after a 70 yard run maybe sub and not give it to the same guy up the middle for no gain on the next play

one thing that should be a target this recruiting season is a road grader RB/FB. Break it for for 30? No. But someone who can grind out 2 yard runs and hit one for 12 occasionally.

What makes you think Cam, Chaney or Rooster can't 2 yards when we need it?
Did you not see Cam's goal-line TD versus UAB?
Rooster's goal-line TD versus Louisville?

Or are we just basing our opinions on stature of said RB's?

Thad must be that bruiser, right? He runs tougher than the guys we have? Cause he's bigger?

Thad has a real nice combination of fluidity, size and balance. Cam is strong but he’s not that balanced IMO. Kind of reminds me of Lamar Miller although he is tougher.

Don’t get me wrong- Cam is a stud. I’m in no hurry to see him go. But Franklin will be a great complement to what we have.

Nothing against Thad.
I just think the statement that we "need to recruit a road grader" at RB aka "someone that can grind out 2 yards" is a bit cliche' and silly.
Nobody recruits a RB for excelling at 2 yard carries and occasionally getting 12. You recruit the best RB's available. Good RB's, regardless of size, get 2 yards when it's needed.

Nobody we have at RB right now has shown the INABILITY to get tough yards.
We're not going into the off season recruiting period saying "we're looking for guys who can gain 2 yards when we need it". LOL
 
We still got people in here asking about a fullback????????

For real though, we just don’t have a line that’s going to push defenses around all game. No running back is going to change that. Our coaches are scheming around that now. Knighton looked pretty good powering it into the end zone on that one touchdown run
