One thing I’m hearing about Carson Beck from the Hecht…

You don’t just stumble into 8000+ yards and 50+ TDs on nearly 70% completion in that conference. Last year that offense lacked both weapons and creativity. I think he will be fine here and be a top 2 ACC QB.
We all love Cam. idky any Cane fan wouldnt want Beck to do even better lol. Like i said i love Cam prob more than anyone but Beck isnt Poffenburger! Hes done this **** in his interview he said he came here to win a ring cause he didn't get one at UGA if u not with that tf is u smokin?

Beck’s “down” season would have been one of the best passing seasons in UM history. He completely carried UGA’s offense which was weak on the line and had nobody at receiver. I put Mike Bobo in the same tier as Josh Gaddis or Dan Enos as an OC. He’s 100% trash.

If healthy he will be one of the top quarterbacks in the country. I don’t think he has anywhere near Cam’s Superman like escape ability but he also won’t try to extend plays nearly as much as Cam does. I expect things to be a bit more structured with fewer big plays but fewer “what the **** are you doing?” Late throws into traffic.

I think a lot of fans are underrating his experience. This isn’t some random G5 guy who’s stepping up in competition. This dude has played against the very best from years. If anything, Miami’s ACC schedule should be a step down for him.

💯

Definitely some bad evals with both position groups by the Kirbster and his recruiting staff in Athens.

Even as down as the SEC was last year (the top of the league was as weak as I've seen in about 50 years), the average front 7's on D were still well above what the Canes typically faced in the ACC. Beck was running for his life quite a bit.

Quinn Ewers got the Horns to the semifinals last year — and he's nowhere near as talented as Carson Beck from JAX

…is that he has an excellent football IQ. And Miami just had Cam Ward, so they know what elite football intelligence looks like.

Beck is someone who has banked a ton of reps in a mentally demanding offense in the SEC. When Shannon Dawson spoke to Todd Monken (offensive coordinator for the Ravens who coached Beck at UGA), Monken vouched heavily for both Beck’s physical talent and his ability to see the game. So far, that is playing out in the meeting rooms.
Glad to see Dawson called Monken. Excellent OC capable of adapting to QB skill set. Kirby Smart is an excellent HC, defensive mind and recruiter, but his good friend Bobo is no Monken. Another offensive output like last year and good friend Bobo will find himself in an off-field administrative role.

How is his throwing going though?
Not to single you out, but I keep seeing similar posts. What do you expect to hear? That he can throw 25 yards downfield whereas last week he was at 15? That velocity is at 60% as compared to 50% the prior week? Kid is young. He’ll be fine. We’re not his PTs. We don’t need to track his weekly improvement.

I think we should the hopes of a season rides on this QB .
If he’s not right the firing drums will start after ND game.

When your the QB of a power 5 team YES every move every pass critical.

Being this quiet is a concern, if he was ready I’m sure it would be on TV sports.

I want to hear he’s throwing ropes and NFL 30 yards out patterns.

Last year we had videos of Cam throwing to players in practice facility working on there tendencies and field presence.

This is what concerns me , nothing has transpired it should be happening NOW !!!

He's definitely shooting ropes...

Pause...

He may struggle a bit against ND and Florida but I expect him to light up every single ACC Defense we face.
No team in our conference is going to show him something he hasn't seen before. He is going to lead us to Charlotte.

Everything rides on ND , this board will implode if QB isn’t right .

Let’s Koolaide:

It’s top secret alls well with QB arm 110% all is in sync with playmakers ready to go practice is closed to press and paparazzi👍

Been saying this. Our offense will be on point this year with Beck i love Cam but Beck isnt a downgrade may be a upgrade! Bobo and the receivers had alot to do with how he looked last year! Remember Monken was his OC in 23. Think he lights it up this year. 24 and 3 in the sec is no joke. Hes played in big games. I personally think he lights it up #1 pick next year!
An upgrade?! From the #1 pick in the draft...

That must be some reallllllly good stuff you're smoking...

Be grateful we are not walking into the season with Emory as QB 1.
