One thing I’m hearing about Carson Beck from the Hecht…

Beck is someone who has banked a ton of reps in a mentally demanding offense in the SEC. When Shannon Dawson spoke to Todd Monken (offensive coordinator for the Ravens who coached Beck at UGA), Monken vouched heavily for both Beck’s physical talent and his ability to see the game. So far, that is playing out in the meeting rooms.

If the financial reporting is true and we paid around $4M for a 1 year rental and the offense isn’t structured around what “he” does well instead of trying to square peg a round hole then it might be time to fly the banners. 😂

Been saying this. Our offense will be on point this year with Beck i love Cam but Beck isnt a downgrade may be a upgrade! Bobo and the receivers had alot to do with how he looked last year! Remember Monken was his OC in 23. Think he lights it up this year. 24 and 3 in the sec is no joke. Hes played in big games. I personally think he lights it up #1 pick next year!

I hope you’re right and I’m wrong but I highly doubt Beck is going to be an upgrade over Ward.

Ward is the best QB I’ve seen in a Miami uniform since I’ve been a hurricanes fan, which was after the Jim Kelly and Kosar years but before Walsh, Torerta and Dorsey.

However, he doesn’t need to be better than Ward , if our defense can make a dramatic improvement and our O line and running game live up to expectations. I think we’ll be just fine.

I do think Beck is going to have a good season if he stays health. I do have concerns about the health of his arm and how he’ll adjust to the air raid but I’m optimistic he’ll have a great season.

Yes i think our Defense is night and day this next year. We saw so much Ward running around till recievers got open last year. Its a miracle we won 10 games lol. This year i think it looks alot more structured. Our Defense improvements will lead to more run game. Which will open up the pass. Wont see the hero ball. If anything the air raid will help Beck will open things up for him. Dawson cant help who he is. Only thing i want to see is a more versatile run game thatts all i ask for

Yeah, I am very happy Beck came here!!! I watched a lot of Georgia games last year and was always impressed with his ability. With the upgrades on defense, we will win alot of games next year. We'll be in ACCC this year, so we have a chance to get in the playoffs. A Beck lead team will be more well-rounded. Last year it was Cam on the offence pulling us week to week. Very excited for August to get here!!!!!

I was kinda surprised they brought back Bobo for another stint after Monken departed. For multiple reasons I would expect that Beck eclipses his 2024 production with Miami in 2025

Now just give an OLine that can block, pass catchers that catch the ball and a defense that doesn’t have holes all over the place.

I think adjusting to the offense is a bit overblown. Not saying there shouldn’t be any concerns. Since he is learning a totally new offense and terminology. This offense should unleash whatever he has or is hiding. He will get a chance to sling it all over the field. That’s got to be a QB’s dream. I’ll tell you what. If I’m a QB thats replacing Can Ward. I tell the coaches. I want to run the same offense he ran. Don’t sign me and want to be a plodding offense. BULL****
