Richard McIntosh is the most underrated player in the class. I think he is Elite with a capital "E." Big-time size, major athlete and productive. Big schools were after him, but he had a low-key recruitment.

People have been asking about the next big-time DT at Miami. I think McIntosh could be it. Here are highlights from just one game this season:

No one wanted to listen to me when I said this a year ago. He is ELITE. He excels in multiple sports, teammates love playing with him, smart player, and has great character.

Elite is a strong word but I agree this kid is a major get. I just don't know yet how these types fit in with our defense. We've got so many guys that have talent but are completely up in the air as far as how they contribute. Could be jackpot, could be more convoluted mess.

Will he be asked to just plug and hold the OL or will he be allowed to disrupt and passrush

Maybe in a 4-3, but not to beat a dead horse, what does elite and big-time mean in this scheme? I guess someone who eats up blocks and doesn't get pushed off the line.

I listened to you my brother from another mother.

WHen do DL have any impact in this catch and release system under AG?

I should say I think he will be an impact player for our next coach. When I guarded him a year ago he had the best or just as good feet out of all the talented Soflo Big men (Drake Lamont, Therrell Gosier, etc.) except Cedric Wright.

McIntosh is here for at least three years, so we'll see what the future holds in terms of coaching.

He actually fits into a 3-4 with his length, but I prefer him as a three-technique.

I love that Missouri offered him. He's that kinda Sheldon Richardson player.

2016 DLine should look like this in a 4-3 look:

AQM/Harris
Willis (if he makes it)/Mcintosh
Jenkins/Moten
Chad Thomas/Jackson

So, yeah.

This kid would be miscast in Grohlden's defense. You want him as a Tampa 2 under tackle rushing the B gap with his outside move. This kid should develop into a lesser Gerald McCoy type under a good staff. Jethro will have him playing pattycake in no time though I'm sure.
