The way he holds his guys accountable and have their back in the same breath... Example After one of the away games..we go meet up with the players before they load up on the bus... This particular play was stuck in my head. I see Shaq and immediately ask Shaq why on this particular play you see the ball moving away from your gap assignment ... you plug your gap anyway... I was like.. I know you have an assignment but sometimes you can't be a programmed player like a robot but deviate and make a play... it was something like that... but before Shaq could respond... Diaz chimed in... didn't know he was listening... If everyone did their assigned job then all lanes would be closed. He went on to say Shaq listens and if I had 11 Shaqs.. then my only job would be to drive the bus to the stadium...I was like did he just protect my kid from me .. a sideline heckler.... Fast forward to a couple of days ago... Linebacker meeting... the session is WHHAT NOT TO DO AS A LINEBACKER... Shaq said he was the subject of about 90 percent of the plays.. He holds his players up and holds his player down
