One of the things I like about Manny Diaz

The way he holds his guys accountable and have their back in the same breath... Example After one of the away games..we go meet up with the players before they load up on the bus... This particular play was stuck in my head. I see Shaq and immediately ask Shaq why on this particular play you see the ball moving away from your gap assignment ... you plug your gap anyway... I was like.. I know you have an assignment but sometimes you can't be a programmed player like a robot but deviate and make a play... it was something like that... but before Shaq could respond... Diaz chimed in... didn't know he was listening... If everyone did their assigned job then all lanes would be closed. He went on to say Shaq listens and if I had 11 Shaqs.. then my only job would be to drive the bus to the stadium...I was like did he just protect my kid from me .. a sideline heckler.... Fast forward to a couple of days ago... Linebacker meeting... the session is WHHAT NOT TO DO AS A LINEBACKER... Shaq said he was the subject of about 90 percent of the plays.. He holds his players up and holds his player down

Obviously you can't tell us everything that's going on and all the things that your son brings to you, but these little tidbits are straight fire! Really appreciate it.

Accountability with this coaching staff is one main reason I know it's only a matter of time until we win big. Once the players hold each other accountable too, chemistry will build and we will start destroying teams.

Shag and DJ are very smart players. I had the honor to meet and talk to both men. They are true leader.

Just Awesome. Manny knows Shaq is mentally mature enough to handle the criticism. I doubt Richt could have done the same thing with Kaaya, for example. Kid's ego was fragile. But Shaq has special forces mental toughness. Definitely the right person to use as an example, even (especially) if it's his mistakes.

Its posters like @UknowWhat that makes this site great. Straight football is all most of us want to hear about......not which poster can one up each other.

Agreed ten fold! Sharing of intel; debates about strategy and personnel; assessments of the team's performances; reflections of the past / predictions for the future -- all good in my book whether we agree or disagree.

But the silly infighting instigated by the undercover trolls and fake fans is what hurts this site.

Keep doing what you do, UKnowWhat! I appreciate it!

@UknowWhat i can't explain how much I appreciate the insight your provide with these posts. Manny has definitely been groomed to lead and I'm sure his approach will rub off on the backers and help prepare them for the NFL.

Thank you!
