One good aspect of this class

Losing TV to $$$$$ changer hurts bad, but still this class is outstanding. Moten, Jenkins and the two JUCO DT give us much better inside D than we have seen in years. Moten is high end DT from top program. I wanted TV but he had to really pull himself together this year. If he goes to Pot Rogue LA, kid might go back to being fat and lazy. He should have stayed home so he could stay on the straight and narrow. Moten is very solid and should solve our DT problem. The DEs are just sick this year. Oline is off charts. Whole class is really good. Kaaya gives the second top QB recruit in a row. If one pans out and the middle of Dline firms up, we will be a different team. That is what we have been missing.

QB in Kaaya is elite. RB in Yearby is elite (and we may not be done). OL haul is elite. WR group is great. DE's are the best group we've brought in in a decade. DT's are very good (with TV it takes the next step to excellent). LB's are extremely versatile and advanced, CB is ok with only Mayes being brought in(JC would instantly change this), and the safety position is elite. **** we even had a nice kicker class. If we can finish by bringing Valentine back down to Earth, Bo?, JC... Smile y'all

Jackson and Smith may not have been considered elite but I believe they may end up so. Also Gibbons, as well as some others may rise to that level. I think this class may be greatly underrated. It has the look and feel of a Butch Davis type class. It also is the first time in a while our roster is looking more balanced.

I would have Hendon on my reach list but that's mostly because he is under the radar

that kid is a physical freak...ive been on the bandwagon....B-BALL player..legit 6'3-6'4 220-230 and can run......

When he ran the fly and blew past Nigel Pathel i knew something was there...

Reaches are Mayes, Rosier.

your thoughts on McCray?

IMO the only reaches are the following players

McCray
Rosier
Mayes

McCray isn't at a position of need with bringing in Smith, Harris & Jackson. (if we missed on one then maybe) Jassid said he is an elite pass rusher though so you can never have too many of them. Ideally would've preferred Nichols over Mayes & Harris over Rosier.

Hearing the staff likes McCray at ILB

Encouraging, knowing your background that Linder wasn't on the list of reaches......

Agree. Considering everything that surrounded the program from the NCAA to blow out losses and the PSU ordeal, we have been able to bring in a top 10, if not top 5 class. Bodes well for UM as it seems we are finally headed in the correct path. Golden and his staff deserve a lot of credit. If we can now improve our schemes and coaching we will definitely surprise many doubters in 2014.

I still say, You Guys Don't Know History. We won NC's in the late '80's and early '90's with classes ranked in the '20's. Not every class was full of elite players.

Lol. Like a terrible, recurring joke.

When I watched that game between BTW and Herdon's team the one guy who was most impressive on the Georgia team was Herndon. That elite DE got eaten alive by that BTW tackle.

Franchise QB: Kaaya
Franchise RB: Yearby
Franchise OL: McDermott, Darlimg
Franchise WR: Berrios (could be a franchise slot receiver, maybe a stretch)
Franchise CB: JC Jackson, yeah *****, I said it
Franchise S: Hester
Franchise DT: Moten
Franchise DE: Thomas, C.
Franchise LB: Jackson, Young, Smith (Lolz maybe reaches in terms of "franchise" here but we'll see

These are the "franchise" type players in this class... The players left out are all ******* beastly as well and could easily develop as franchise players (Harris, Brady, Gayot, Owens, Gibbons, Jenkins, McCray, Lanham, ETC.. didn't wanna leave anyone out but we all know the rest of em.... Just gonna have to wait and see... Definitely a couple stretches listed above but idgaf

Above shows we could really, really use another Elite WR, DT, and RB. Absolutely love this class as it stands but if we could snag a few more elites in a couple spots I wouldn't trade it for any other class in the nation

This is a good class what golden and co need to do is stack the roster with a couple classes like this

If the recruiting industry was the same back then as it is today, those classes would have been ranked in the top 5 every year. It is not a coincidence that UM's recruiting prowess has diminished as the recruiting services have grown.

Clearly, we have not reeled in enough elite prospects to get us back to where we belong. Until we start consistently pulling in the McGahees, Rolles, and Wilforks of the South Florida world, and a national guy like DJ Williams each year, we will not compete with the big boys. But, this is the first class in a long time that has very few projects/reaches. Rosier (though I think he could be a player in the secondary) and Linder could be considered reaches. But the overall quality of this class is as good as we've had in years and better than most of the teams that ended up ranked at the end of last year.

Just as important, I think we struck gold at the most important position in the game. Of course any projection is speculative at this point, but BK looks legit. Dude is a prototype who also appears to be smart and savvy.

The collective talent of this class, coupled with a potential franchise QB, is very encouraging to me. With everything working against us, including the coaching deficiencies (that must be corrected), I don't know how any reasonable fan could be disappointed in this class. It's exactly the type that gets us to the point where we will regularly beat the teams we should beat. And in order to attract the elite guys, we need to do that first.

Well said. I think there's plenty of talent at the top but what separates this class from the past is it's very strong at the "bottom" as far as rankings go. You watch these guys who are down the list and the majority of them you can't tell the difference between them and those ranked at the top. It's a very deep class, the deepest I've seen in a long time.

that play stuccos in my mind too. his qb missed him, but he beat him deep. still smh…. that never should have happened. he goes hard every play and caught NB enjoying the ride.

We have several game changers in the class and tons of talent to layer what the staff started three years ago. NINE Early entrees, and several at positions of need...

This! but this class has elite players all over the place...when was the last time we had this many in one class.

never have enough, however, it should not cause any heart burns if we don't this is an incredible compliment to what we have returning. Image if the Northwestern/BTW boys would have had a third year class like this. How many reaches did that class have? Another solid layer to get us closer!!!

I don't want another qb turnt db (highSmith). Unless he's an option qb #rugbytough
