One area of major improvement for TVD

I have to rewatch the last few games but it seems we don't run as much RPO anymore?
 
I wonder if he keeps playing like this or if he gets better if he automatically has the starting QB position for next year or if there will be a true QB competition going into the spring and fall for next season and how does that effect Jake Garcia. If TVD gets the spot does Garcia bail? Jake seems to love being a Cane so I hope he stays if TVD wins the starting spot. Like someone else said first world problems 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

IF, and that's a big IF, he continues playing like this or close to it, there should be no QB competition next year. He won it on the field.
 
I did NOT initially believe in this young man, i had doubts. Then he started pulling me in on some plays and then kick me in the nuts. Now i am all in. He is a solidified G. Popped sh*t and backed it up. He is starting to look like the kind of talent that can make a terrible coach look good.

Funny how so many coaches look great once the QB situation is not only good but elite. Not saying TVD is elite at this moment. Rather, look at someone like Dabo and his record without Watson or Lawrence (or Boyd, who while above average was not at the elite level). Or Orgeron after Burrows. Or Patterson after Boykin. ****, even Butch needed Dorsey to make all that talent win big.
 
Rivals has an interview up today with his HS coach. He coached TVD all through high school.

“He was similar here in what you see there. Don’t take it for granted, but he’s a leader. And you see that in the way his teammates respond to him. In Tyler’s case it doesn’t have to be vocal. He’ll talk and share his thoughts with his teammates but he does have a maturity about him and goes about his business. No one outworks Tyler.”

He finished the 2019 season with 2,260 passing yards and 21 touchdowns while completing 123 of 200 pass attempts. His first two seasons he split time with another QB. His coach said that he noticeably improved every season. As a senior, the team had a perfect 9-0 record. He said TVD's recruitment started picking up right before his senior year; he attended camps and stuff and earned offers from Michigan, Cal, Louisville, Michigan State, NC State, Pitt, UCLA and Wisconsin, Syracuse and others.

He goes on to say that TVD really loves being at Miami. He loves the coaches, the team and the whole experience so far. He speaks with TVD after each game.
“And the other piece is he’s always been so eager for the learning part of the game, to get in the football classroom, to have the opportunity to do things he didn’t get to do here. That was one of the reasons I knew when he got to Miami he’d just keep getting better. He just loves everything about football.”


“Having coached him for four years, worked with him and seeing the character he has and football player he is, what he’s doing is not a surprise,” Gamere said. “And he’ll keep getting better and better. His best football is ahead of him. Adversity is not going to shake him. He’ll run into some challenges, that’s part of football, but he’s prepared to take adversity, embrace it.”
