All this BS and noise isn't fair to Manny and staff regardless of outcome. Make a god **** decision like an adult and own it. It's year 3 of Head Coach Manny and year 6 of Manny at Miami. We know who he is. He's an average coach who will you win 7-9 games a year and lose big games. Either way the decision makers need to finalize an action plan, this is getting ridiculous.
they aren't treating Manny great but I don't really care about him, he will be fine. the program is suffering by this diddling.

This is Epstein’s final shot. He’s causing chaos to hurt the movement.

Then he wouldn’t be telling recruits that there is a possibility he won’t be the coach is why I am disagreeing with you.

He would be telling the kids he would be back in your scenario.
He's telling recruits there is a possibility because if a portion of the people behind the scenes get what they want he wont be. The odds of that happening I would say don't appear strong because if Lane or Cristobal were taking the job it would have been announced. Cristobal coching in the Pac 12 Championship game means zero. These other coaches who have taken jobs elsewhere are coaching bowl games.

Like I said y’all are being played , I’ve been saying this for a week but I’m a “fraud”. The media continues to be used as pawns.

These are people who do not care about the program or fans, they only care about their own self interests and politics. Power / control is all they care about.

It’s clear what they are doing.

Leaking that Diaz is coming back takes the pressure off Mario. He doesn’t have to answer questions about UM before Friday’s game, and Oregon doesn’t have as much time to prepare a counter offer.

This is all calculated, and I actually appreciate how we’re handling it.

What remains aggravating to me is the lack of an AD announcement.
This seems quite naive... Miami can't have Mario "locked up" ("done deal" whatever) then keeping Manny on and all the rest just to let Mario focus on Friday's Ducks game...

...because meanwhile Manny is out there beating the recruiting bushes and doing other things under the conception/misconception he is coming back. If it were then found out Mario had already been "agreed" can you imagine the lawsuit Manny(&dad) would have? So NO WAY Mario deal is complete and Miami is doing this because it's part of such deal.

I would believe this if we ever handled anything like this. we have always been terrible at this and we don't even have an AD to orchestrate this master plan.

It makes sense. We've come up with a million ****** reasons as to why the BOT/Julio hasn't fired Manny yet. If we wanted Manny out, he would have already been out. We just don't have the support internally to pull this off. We're a C-rated program. Accept it.
If Mario says I will come but don’t want a word leaked because I don’t want to deal with the bs before the whack12 championship you still want them to fire manny??? Go against his wishes? We also haven’t seen anything that says he is staying.

Is that really the motivation? I keep asking not because I don’t believe you and other posters, but because putting your name on a bad coach seems like a really stupid thing to do. yes you will exert controls and brag to the 5 people who like you. But those very people will dislike you in a year if Manny stays and UM sucks again, which is the most likely outcome if Manny stays.

Consider this alternative. Epstein actually thinks Manny will be successful if given another year and is motivated by this opinion. Stupid, yes.
I honestly don't know his motivation, but after the first few times, he has to know the light this paints the BOT and the school in. Even if he really likes Manny and believes in him, is it worth this cost? Even if he gets his way, there are at least 3 losses on the schedule for Manny in 2022 and he'll look like an *** for pushing him.

Part of winning is knowing to pick your battles.

We know you're not a fraud. And the sensible people with an IQ above 50 understand what you're saying. The rest of them need to pull the string and change the tampon.

If the Mario to Miami thing is so far down the road and all we're doing is stringing Manny along to keep the pressure off of Mario, why wouldn't Epstein just tell media members Cristobal has agreed in principle to take the job? Thats how you **** with Mario and the process.

I didn’t say anything was complete, but this is clearly what they are trying to do — keep the pressure off Mario.

Boats are stupid expensive right now.

What kayak you got?
Old Town Predator PDL I do a lot of red/tarpon/trout/snook fishing in central florida. 100's of kayak only launches to choose from, no jockeying at the ramp. Throw it in the back of my truck and go, no maintenance, no gas, no registration, no trailer, no wiring repair, dead batteries etc.

I had a Mako 18LTS flats boat for 10 years but also always had a kayak. I always caught more on the kayak. I'm probably going to switch over to a hobie outback next year.

Go!

“Miami head coach Manny Diaz may not fall victim to college football's frenzied coaching carousel.

Matt Zenitz of On3.com reported the indications are "there’s a good chance" Diaz remains in his current post with the Hurricanes.

His job security has been a topic of discussion throughout the 2021 season as Miami opened the year at 2-4 before winning five of its final six regular-season games.”

Per BR

I could see it happening because their isnt even an AD yet, but the reality is the only person who knows Mannys status for next year is the AD.

Just something else I see that tells me he's staying is the fact nobody behind the scenes can get their **** together. Some want him to stay some want him to go. This is basically what happens in politics and ends in some sort of 50-50 deal where both sides get something they want so they can go back to their base and say we tried for it all but we got something instead of nothing. One side keeps Manny another year the other side gets to pick the AD they want and put some sort of control and monitoring of the football program
Funny you use the word "Politics." Who has the political history and way of doing things and making things dirty? What family and Bot member is that?
