On3 reporting

If this happens, it could be the best thing in the short term for this team in 2022.

Long-term, perhaps not but short-term Manny is the best shot this late in the cycle to save any kind of recruiting class at all. It is just too late for anyone to come in and salvage any kind of decent class at this point.

Manny also has a nice track record in the portal. If he can be as successful in the off-season as he has been in the past, I'll take it.

If this team continues to play hard for Manny they will win next year. Couple that with TVD coming back and Garcia as backup plus UNC, Pitt and UVA all lose their QBs next year.

Didn’t know where to put this but…. If Mario is the HC, he won’t be bringing Morehead with him

But we're supposed to believe that we are keeping things silent with Mario as to not cause a distraction for him and Oregon as they play for a conference title. Lol.

It's kind of sad and pathetic that either Epstein doesn't understand the ramifications of his actions regardless of the outcome (although we know Manny is toast already), or that he just doesn't care. Because what he's doing is nothing short of vile, deplorable, and disgusting. It's basically national news at this point and he continues to try everything humanely possible to undermine this program. He is not one of us, he is not a Miami Hurricane.

its not a great traffic location anymore imo. also don't really want to be sharing the stadium w a bunch of HSs on a friday night and see our field torn up on Saturday. the benefit of playing before the fins now is that we get the fresh sod and world class stadium people to replace the sod

Funny you bring sod up. It was noticeably trash pretty much all year. Then, suddenly and mysteriously, the field looked majestic this past Sunday at the phins game.

There was quite a few of us talking about it in the seats.

Makes ya wonder…

Edit: Not that it has any bearing on the stadium situation …which I’m actually good with. Just couldn’t understand why our grass looked like it was grown in Chicago all year

did you hear a single word about Riley to USC during OUs season or Kelly to LSU during NDs season? you mean to think both those 100 mill deals sprouted up and agreed upon in the middle of the night? its a bit different when you're going after an HC vs an OC

I think they replace it a few times. I know before the bowl game, they bring in a new field or something. im Sure they replaced it after we played since our season was over. now imagine it being used by 15000 HSs every friday night

The Epstein is getting lambasted I wouldn’t be expecting anything else from his end. Then again who knows ?
Maybe the third time is a charm? Feel like he's had 3 major leaks: the Ferman debacle, the Jurich pushback, and the On3 drop last night. Maybe I haven't been paying attention and there has been more, but each of those instances was met by scorched earth.

Hard Rock is a cavernous amusement park 40 minutes from campus. The need for our own 50k seat stadium closer to Coral Gables is glaring considering we play in a half empty stadium every week.
yeah one of the nicest and Loudest stadiums in the NFL is an amusement park. GTFOH

Go root for FIU. They have the perfect little stadium for fans like you.

Alex Mirabal in the canes twitter space chat thing (whatever that is) with his team in pursuit of a pac 12 championship and potential playoff berth on the line tells me all I need to know.

There’s been enough tea leaves out there to connect some dots….

Is that really Alex Mirabal or one of his fanboy relatives that has posted here as well?

Totally agree, but it would be a nice start. As nice as Hard Rock is, I truly think we would benefit more with having our own stadium. We won't go down this rabbit hole again lol Maybe the new AD pushes this initiative down the road.
Sometimes I think the people that bring up the stadium either have never visited Coral Gables in their life or they're just not smart enough to get out of their own way.

Where do you propose this stadium should be.

I do not live in Florida and have not been to the new joint. The stadium thing is the stadium thing.

I was at BC this weekend and that probably holds 42K and would be a great set up for Miami with another 10-13k seats. You are right on top of the field. Not bad. BC has zero fan support so it is hard to judge if it is loud. The tailgate sitch at BC is terrible. I felt like I was at TSA getting on Shea Field.

I don’t have an opinion on the stadium, I don’t deserve one. My point, everytime I go over to BC I say to myself, “Self, this stadium would be perfect for the Canes with 10-15k more seats.

Hard Rock has a capacity of 65,000, which is less than the 75,000 capacity at the OB, The capacity at BC is 44,500, Lived in Boston for 45 years. There is modest community support for BC. BC has an undergraduate enrollment of 9,500. On average, BC draws 32,000 fans.

In a game where College Gameday was there on campus earlier on Saturday, The Rock came to play. “That was one of the loudest stadiums I played in in my five years [at Notre Dame],” said Dolphins rookie tight end Durham Smythe in an interview with the Sun Sentinel. Smythe played for the Irish in 2017.
Kirk Herbstreit said himself that during the Notre Dame game, it was the loudest stadium he’s ever heard.

I am with you my man. The place is electric when it’s a big tilt and all these stadiums are not full anymore. The Egg Bowl had empty seats last week. BC has a nice set up, that is all. Getting to BC is such a pain though which could be the same issue at UM.

I go to more BU hockey games than BC games. If you know anything about the BC/BU hockey rivalry that is not normal being a dude who was part of those Tong Wars. BC and the Chestnut Hill loons just makes things difficult.

Cool, where in Boston?

Calling BC’s support modest is being very kind to BC. People loathe BC in Boston.

I live in Canton by the way.

I lived in Quincy. If I remember correctly, BC had a remote parking lot in Norwood or some other outlandish location miles from the stadium. Only went to one Miami game at BC, the one Reed saved it with the handoff touchdown.

Nice! Know a bunch of people from the Q. I was at the Ed Reed game. Portis was a beast.

Game day at BC is terrible.
