It makes sense. We've come up with a million ****** reasons as to why the BOT/Julio hasn't fired Manny yet. If we wanted Manny out, he would have already been out. We just don't have the support internally to pull this off. We're a C-rated program. Accept it.
C might be generous

It’s ******* common sense. An off-brand account tweeted that manny MIGHT not be fired and you guys lost your ******* minds. Bunch of broads around here.
@OrangeBowlMagic this wasn't common sense last week. posters people were freaking out as an all out war has been going on behind the scenes .

Think of it in a positive way, all those fired coaches were once great assistants and Manny can hire them. Just evaluate each and pick the best at DC and the beat at OC, what an opportunity.

Orgeron for DC
Fuentes for OC
Gary Patterson for ??
Skip Holtz for ??
etc.
Don't ever change Fraggle!
Shine on you crazy diamond!!!! Lol

This thread is 23 pages because one account on Twitter literally said it’s looking like Manny might be back.

Just step away and think about that for a second.

Except you "see" nothing, right? By "see" you mean read unattributed gossip from people with message board and twitter handles who say they heard this and that from a "source" right?

#263263:

The only thing we KNOW is we finally fired Blake James, and the President of the school and a few billionaires have publicly committed themselves to funding a massive budget increase for football so we can "compete for championships."

Outside of that, we haven't "seen" a single other concrete thing. In fact, the fanbase most assuredly been a victim of misdirection. Multiple times. Yet everyone keeps coming back for more.

They write books about people like that, you know.
So how come the President can fire the AD but not the coach??? If their committed to this massive budget increase get rid of the coach and make it happen. Instead the coach is out recruiting. The fanbase has been a victim of nothing but their own ignorance.

He can't be that stupid in real life, can he?

All we have to do is find out which companies his little investment firm invests in, and if any one of them does business in China and employs kids, or pollutes the ozone, or displaces baby dolphins, or ANYTHING.... which is very likely.... or if ANY one of them has ties to Manny Sr..... then just put it all over twitter.

It doesn't even have to be bad. Just enough to spook his investors so they say "**** it" and put their money elsewhere, and boom just like that Epstein is in the poorhouse.

He cannot possibly be that dumb, to purposely **** off thousands of people for the sake of his own ego. No way, right?

Here's David Lake's full article:

- If you want change, then you want things to stay quiet. That’s because Miami’s decision makers, President Julio Frenk and his advisors, are doing their best to move in silence. There are a lot of people around UM that used to be in the loop that no longer are (board of trustee members and people inside the Hecht building) and they are frustrated by being cut out of the loop and are leaking plenty of interesting information. Take it all with a grain of salt.

- Why would these people want to leak bad information? A combination of Blake James loyalists and Manny Diaz supporters don’t like the potential for sweeping change within the athletic department and there are some hurt egos amongst the board of trustees after they were cut out of the loop on the decision to separate from Blake James. By leaking false information, it makes Miami’s AD and potential coaching search look like a circus, which it is not. There is a plan, but again, former decision makers are upset/frustrated about being cut out of the loop—and quite frankly they are validating the decision to cut people out of the loop with all these leaks.

- Again, if you desire change, things being quiet this week is a good thing. The longer a move isn’t announced during the course of this week, it is a good thing because the event to have circled on the calendar is the Pac-12 Championship Game on Friday night. Again, pay attention to things not being said: 1.) Miami officially announcing Manny Diaz is coming back in 2022. 2.) A big money extension of Mario Cristobal at Oregon. 3.) A big money extension of Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss. If we don’t hear any news in this regard through Friday, it is a good thing in terms of the potential for change.

- Be skeptical of any athletic director names that leak. I’m not saying that those names being leaked won’t be at UM in some capacity moving forward (and there might be some smoke to Eddie Nunez as the AD, but his name leaking out has me skeptical too), but Miami is using a search firm for the athletic director hire and when you use a search firm, not having names leak is a huge priority. The decision makers driving this decision want to keep things quiet.

- Be skeptical of reports hinting that the board of trustees are voting on a potential AD candidate and then waiting on the final approval of President Julio Frenk. It is my understanding that the process will be Frenk and his advisors recommending an AD to the board of trustees, who are then expected to rubber stamp that recommendation. Again, President Julio Frenk and his advisors are making all of these decisions and they are not speaking to the media about candidates etc.

- Let me state this again…if you want change, quiet is good. Each passing day in which official announcements (Diaz retention, Cristobal and/or Kiffin extensions) aren’t made is a good thing. Patience is required through this weekend and we will see where the chips fall.
I can see everything above...

except...

Unlikely (but not impossible) BOT is owning this decision (process as described above). BOT will make Frenk own it, then use it to praise, or more importantly beat him senseless if it goes badly.

Just my two cents...

Then he wouldn’t be telling recruits that there is a possibility he won’t be the coach is why I am disagreeing with you.

He would be telling the kids he would be back in your scenario.
Also why would a guy that has two years left on his deal not demand a statement that his job is safe? Manny knows this does him no recruiting favors but no statement? Come on! He’s done
