If it really is just about one guy's ego, trying to sabotage things, then why would Cribby/Lake/etc be trying to calm you down? Better to do the opposite and fight back. Because once it's decided, it's decided. Now is the time to make your voice heard.

And if it's a "political" move, then it's the dumbest political move I've ever seen. Not too many successful politicians out there who don't have the support of the public. It's kind of required. You don't make enemies of the public like that on purpose, if it's all about political games. Even in Miami.

Then of course there's another possibility... that it's all true. That Manny is actually coming back. Can't discount that.

Personally, I think there's no way he's retained. The ONLY way that could ever have had a hope of working would be if they announced it immediately after Duke, and even then, it's doubtful. Now? It's FAR too toxic. This is a football team - it only exists to entertain the fans, and it only stays operational because fans spend money on it or watch the product on TV. If they bring him back now, it will be to empty stadiums. They have to know that.

So I would say there's zero chance he actually comes back.

Only thing I'm wondering about is what's really up with this Epstein guy. He's either taking one on the chin for the greater good, or he's the devil. Not sure what to make of him.

Manny might be returning but I’m not. Havn’t watched the U since the FSU game and honestly can’t remember missing a game. I’m a 50+ year fan. Hurts but if my university won’t move on then I will.

A lot of the things going on now in the public are things I’ve mentioned back in Sep and Oct. Too much politics , self interests and agendas. Epstein was one of the main ones I was insinuating. He’s always had his hands on football and the decisions. I’m sure he feels like it’s all slipping away. And he can’t accept it.

Except you "see" nothing, right? By "see" you mean read unattributed gossip from people with message board and twitter handles who say they heard this and that from a "source" right?

Outside of that, we haven't "seen" a single other concrete thing. In fact, the fanbase most assuredly been a victim of misdirection. Multiple times. Yet everyone keeps coming back for more.

But now he's ****ed off thousands of people. If Manny is retained, then someone is going to find out what that favor is and out him.

If this has to do with a kickback, then it's a horrible miscalculation.

He'd be better off throwing Manny Sr under the bus and walking away. Test the wrath of the public at your own peril, he has to know that.

Can this be confirmed by anyone? I'm sure it's more than likely but i have a hard time thinking anyone could be this big of a control freak/baby.
