lol what sense would it make to fire James if we kept Diaz? Would indicate they thought the product was fine

For anyone who knows Epstein or anyone else connected to UM, please help me understand WHY anyone want sot continue with a coach who has proven that he cannot compete at the highest level?

Is it because they want to save money? I can understand as this is always a factor for some people
Is it because they don’t care about UM sports? if so then why stand in the way
Is it because they truly think Diaz will turn it around despite all evidence to the contrary?

Rather than just blaming this person or that, or making up a reason, or just calling someone stupid, I’d like to understand this issue. Because even when people disagree all sides typically have reasons.

If he was getting fired it would have been done. He's out recruiting. Coaches that are getting fired aren't doing that right now. He will get a boast in funds to spend for position coaches and more than likely be told he's got a 1 year to get it right. He's not going anywhere. If he was going Lane or Cristobal would have been announced by now.

You don't see another coach coming in and making it better? Well if we are bringing in an OC and DC then we have a whole new staff anyway. You trust Manny to make the right hires? Come on man.

Even if true that (this "feeling" is due to) the Mario "dealings" aren't goin well, and so no cannedied Diaz right away, 2 things are surely worth considering:

1-New AD arrives, looks at situation from an insider's view and says GTFOH, Manny needs to go now!
2-Sun Bowl time; Canes get nationally whupped by UCLA thanks to more sheMannigans by HC... Ooops, sorry, Dr. Frenk says Hasta La Vista (to) Manny

There's a saying about polishing a **** that explains manny. U can polish that **** to a shine but no matter how good of a job u do it is STILL a ****. Thats manny.

Strong AD? Manny still sucks. 3rd OC? Manny still sucks. 3rd DC? Manny still sucks. Additional 20-30 million in support? Manny is still sucks.

Yea if it would be zo, Gino the move would’ve been made already and fired manny. Maybe Frenk and his 2 guys are actually doing there due diligence. Mike is probably being used also to put out a message.
