On Myson Johnson-Cook

Not sure this is the flex you think it is. Emmitt was actually pretty great in pass pro. Here's what the googler has to say.

"Emmitt Smith was an elite, willing, and technically sound pass protector who helped anchor the Dallas Cowboys' offense"
Ain't no flex, just facts, and I didn't need to Google who the NFL'S all time leading RUSHER is either.

If you're stating facts, state em all. Selectively leaving out the fact that he was a great blocker in front of a statue of a QB with concussion issues is like saying all fletch does is run the ball.

Using Emmett Smith as the example of a running back who does nothing but run, is factually incorrect.

This is a bad take. I’m not necessarily calling for more of Pringle, but IF they wanted to get his speed on the field more they could adjust protections and use him in the passing game out of the backfield. The Lions do it all the time with Gibbs, who is a poor pass blocker. Saquan has gotten better at pass pro, but struggled with it earlier in his career and was still largely a three-down back. It’s a trade off but there’s ways to mitigate an RBs struggles in pass pro and that alone isn’t reason to keep a player off the field.

Who's the NFL'S all time leading RUSHER again lol?

So your argument is because he was great at running the ball wasnt a good blocker? He is the nfl's all time leading rusher. Everyone who has watched an NFL game is aware if that fact. He ALSO was a great pass blocker and didnt have to leave the field on passing downs. You invalidated your original argument of not caring if a back could block by naming a great blocking back.

Didn’t because of his speed either
Barry Sanders is the GOAT because of his...
Timeout.

I’m not debating what you’ve written thus far (for the most part), but I gotta jump in. Although my moniker says I’m from Cincinnati, I’m not. I grew up a Lions fan. Barry wasn’t slow, but he wasn’t the GOAT (thank you for not giving that to Emmitt) because of his speed. He is the goat because of his elusiveness, shiftiness and quickness in small spaces; similar to Baby Jesus. He could make people miss like no one I’ve ever seen.

Second thing. If you’re gonna mention Emmitt and Barry, after some blather about blocking, we need to invite both OLs to the party, then continue the chat. If you’re smart enough to give the goat title to Barry and not Emmitt, while also giving Emmitt his proper due with the leading rusher comment, then I’m certain we don’t really need to discuss the OLs. You already know.

If we truly aren’t even trying here then it has to be because the kid and his camp aren’t
budging on the $, and neither are we so we are just chalking it up. Good luck in the plains kid. He will never win anything of significance at AU, most of these kids don’t care about that anymore anyway tbh.

With our early struggles on the interior of our offensive line, it was a reason to keep him off the field.

D$ mentioned on a recent pod (think it was a pod?) that we stopped recruiting one big time recruit because they just wanted to talk $ and not ball..:wonder if maybe it’s this kid? My thoughts were MJC or Henderson.

It was Henderson that he was talking about.
