On Myson Johnson-Cook

Why do people act like speed and blocking cant go in same package. What is wrong with being explosive. The back this thread is based on is 6'2 230 and fast, can he not also block because of that?
They absolutely go together, and they should. The problem is, our fastest back on the team, can’t block. But yet still people wanna put them out there even though he’ll get our quarterback killed. We have a lot of stupid fans.

You absolutely can prefer faster backs and have a valid point. But your examples are outdated.

You may as well have referenced Warrick Dunn.
OJ Simpson has a little pep in his step if I recall.

I thought hellcat looked good and needs.some touches vs good competition fo see what we really got . Off the subject Clemson game Wes’s that wr when we needed like 3 more yards he tuned up field and tried to run over the fb to get it . It was either spafford or cooper ? I was impressed , that’s how every rb should hit the hole

Some people just wanna argue, cause they have nothing better to do. Emmit Smith didn't become the NFL'S all time leading rusher because of his blocking lol.

Im shocked but it makes sense why we wouldn't circle back. He didnt choose us..then he gets hurt so now its kind of "meh"...why would we pay anywhere near his asking price now?...(shrugs)..good luck and good riddance.
Low blow with the reference to shrugging, he’s not allowed to do that for another 8-10 weeks 🤣

MY point exactly. Emmit's only job was to run the football.
Not sure this is the flex you think it is. Emmitt was actually pretty great in pass pro. Here's what the googler has to say.

"Emmitt Smith was an elite, willing, and technically sound pass protector who helped anchor the Dallas Cowboys' offense"

Didn’t because of his speed either

This is a bad take. I’m not necessarily calling for more of Pringle, but IF they wanted to get his speed on the field more they could adjust protections and use him in the passing game out of the backfield. The Lions do it all the time with Gibbs, who is a poor pass blocker. Saquan has gotten better at pass pro, but struggled with it earlier in his career and was still largely a three-down back. It’s a trade off but there’s ways to mitigate an RBs struggles in pass pro and that alone isn’t reason to keep a player off the field.

It’s pass blocking but also style of play. They want to run duo and run conservatively to avoid falling behind the chains.
