I spend enough time here to absolutely know there are some douche bag fans..thats exactly why I started the post the way I did....i do not care what dudes who are angry at everything life serves them thinks...like at all....anyway, thanks Manny for your time here....I appreciate some of the things you did. Now bring on Mario!!

I am there with you man... I appreciate him trying. The job was just bigger than him and if this budget thing was in place before he took over he would have had more success. He loves Miami and I could see him begging for a job as a LB coach or something. He wants Miami to succeed. I absolutely don't get the hate for the guy. Its like people cant appreciate effort unless it ends in perfect success.

You can just look at the people who liked this comment to see the true slurpers are still out and about.

For instance, may I present to you Mr. Manny Sr. Himself, one that has always had Manure’s back when he drops ***** from his mouth and eyes, @Echtcane!
Out of 45 votes so far, 34 are likes. Seems like some of us actually have some decency in us and don't sit here 24/7 spewing tirades of bloodlust against a guy we know is getting fired and whatever his faults really tried the best he knew how and wanted the program to succeed. It's reasonable to want a new coach but to constantly personally trash Manny in the most ignorant and hateful ways possible seems out of bounds and is about all I ever really downvote.

I kept my mouth shut for some of you who haven’t been here for the early years . So let me inform you of our history of great coaching that left the U . Snell up and left us after saying he was not going anywhere to the USFL. Jimmy did the same moving up to Dallas. Erickson , well everyone wanted his shxt show to leave. Then Butch after moments before saying I’m staying leaves just like that and fans were flying banners and in call in shows letting everyone know he was the worse game day coach. Now all of these are your Gods of our great run. Well if you lived through them you do know there was turmoil during those years too. Manny has been a Cane , and yes I have my deep problems with him. On the offensive side , why didn’t he after a couple of games say we are under center from the 3 with first and goal with fullback in too. Never did it and we could probably won a game or two by changing that alone. Have no idea why defensive team turned out so bad compared to other years. Maybe you guys are right that he played some late in the season. But what I do know is no matter what he still was a Cane Coach and like players even though we are paying him, he chose to coach at a place I love and will not kick him for that. You can if you feel better but it doesn’t change he did bleed Orange and green even though we needed a better coach.

dj didn’t expect you to. I only expected ones who have been here for the really bad days of Cane football to read…

In all honesty I was calling for his head Year One. After the Georgia Tech game it was pretty clear. And then after FIU and Duke Louisiana Tech I had no love. Covid really saved him and gave him his 3rd year. Gave people time to forget about he was in 2019.
But in some ways he was really good for us. 2016 the overnight turnaround of our defense with something to behold. 2017 defense was seriously fierce and 2018 was tragic because had we had an offensive coordinator that was a championship caliber defense.
Turnover chain was cool for a minute.

Even after the Florida game in 2019 it was clear we weren't remotely disciplined as a team. A real Sh$t show with basic procedural stuff. But as far as talented fight you know it looks like we should have won that game could have won that game and that maybe this team is headed in the right direction. You did improve quarterback play immediately. I mean JW and NP we're both hot and cold but when they were hot they were hot.

Despite what he tried to do as defensive coordinator and head coach simultaneously he is a good defensive coach. Last year was bad and a little bit of that had more to do with the calls but this year was seriously atrocious. It's like trained all the players to blindly get their bodies somewhere but not how to take the next step at putting the guy down. Just hoping that when a guy is in a general area at a certain speed he's likely to take the offensive player down. Turned out it wasn't true .
Sad thing is the way he conducted himself here ,which wasn't disrespectful or anything, but I feel like it would be difficult for him to get a another coordinator job in time too soon. But the $8 million dollar buyout makes me not feel sad. How the University went about this is not right but at least they went about it.

This thread is what happens when Edible Arrangements limits how many characters you can use on their "Tough Times are Only Temporary" cantaloupe/dark chocolate arrangement that Linda in sales says is perfect for the recently unemployed.

It's pretty clear that many of the players loved Manny. Of course that doesn't translate into Ws, ACC titles and playoffs, but that does mean something.

Dear Manny,

**** off!!!!
This. Cribby, I really do hope the full manny post mortem memoir does come out one day. I think people are in for a full popcorn level treat on all the stuff manny did behind the scenes. Lots of stuff to unpack.
