Did some digging on West Boca DT Jamar Thompson. He is playing better as a senior and we are going to see him in person. But upon further investigation, I don’t think it’s an instant flip situation from Georgia Tech.

We could do it, but it’s not a done deal as I and others unusually assumed. We are still evaluating all of our options.
 
What did we want him to show that he hadn’t shown before?

maybe lost bad weight? Maybe not taking plays off. I don’t think raw counting stats are the be all end all… how a player looks on tape much more so

But ya we’ve tortured this poor kid lol. It’s obvious for over 2 yrs he wants to be at UM

Must be NIL allocation.We're bringing in 5* at CB,WR,DE but 1 top 20 type at DT and 2 3 * projects,last year 1 high 4* in Stancil and the other 4 DTs 1 low 4* and 3 3* project types.We need to bring in more impact types at DT or we will see a major drop off soon.
 
I didnt know he was only 6'1..****. Maybe we can swing back later if he proves he can hang in the ACC at GTech. Like Mario said once, "You want to be the runner-up in any recruits decision these days".....he was right. You never know what can happen down the line especially with the transfer portal the way it is... Look at Jacquez Carter.
