I guess the point isn't that they've felt great for months, the internet is full of homer "insiders" feeling good, it's that - at least as far as the visit went - they were right all along and never waivered despite VERY strong public comments from Jackson to the contrary.

Not really because there was a thread earlier in the week where it seemed like Jackson may take an ov. Also he's been back and forth and let's be real its a free trip I mean Chad said he'd take a free trip and for all we know he told DJ that its good to take them. Im still not worried because he wants to play home and close to familt so sometimes I just think its as simple as a free trip

That dude is clearly full of it. Jackson tells Pete to tell miami fans not to worry but it's all bs? I find that hard to believe from this kid.

You don't find it at all odd that the Arkansas guy who speaks with Denver has maintained that he would trip for months despite Jackson, on multiple occasions, claiming he would shut it down, and then it happens on a "secret visit" that he's asked not to report? I'm not saying Jackson's going to Arkansas, I'm saying that the whole situation just feels shady. Maybe Jackson can't tell Kirkland "no" and was afraid Miami coaches would find out... that's best case scenario.

That's what I always thought and.............. well don't tell anybody but this thread and another one kinda has people upset. You know thats going to go back to the kid and he's going to get pressured to reassure his committment but for a guy like Chad for example who's a 5* that we need he isn't getting ripped at all when he says he's solid. Difference? One is totally used to the recruiting experience and campus experience while the other can get blown away and intrigued by the idea but may not like the other bs about recruiting. The bashing on message boards, the bashing on twitter and ig, the constant questions about how he's feeling, the worrying coaches, family getting bothered by reporters. If this kid was used to this I would be worried but he constantly does these things and that tells you he doesn't know how to handle it because he's new. If he flips then he flips but I highly doubt that when he's said from day 1 he wants to play home in front of family and with his teammates from BTW
 
Arkansas is a desperate program right now. Nothing is more "dangerous" than a desperate SEC program…nothing. I say he is gone. Denver stating something along the lines of "a lot of people going to be sad on NSD" hints toward this. Minister Barrow has a week to convince DJ that Arkansas is a bastion of hedonism and not the place for him.

Dude, go read all the quotes. He commented several times that he was shutting it down and no more visits after the thing you're citing from a month ago. W/E, i'm not here to **** the kid off or make it seem like he's not coming. I've checked the Arkansas board for months and taken note of Kirk's commentary on him. He always seemed way too smug and sure about it no matter what DJ was saying. The fact that the visit did, in fact, happen, just raises an eyebrow. That he was right and is also saying he feels "very strong" about UA's chances is discussion worthy. I love DJ's upside and hope he's a Cane.

Ok.................. why you're getting upset im not sure but ok and what I stated was he tweeted that he wasn't visiting TT and even though he ov Arkansas its not a crime and maybe he just didnt want to deal with the backlash like the board is giving now that's all. I also gave a link where he posted a pic of him from his ov at UM yesterday seemingly after the pics of him circulated from Arkansas maybe saying he's solid because he knew people would think he's leaving

Not upset, just don't understand why you're glossing over all of his comments after his OV saying he was shutting it down, no more visits, etc. and posting old stuff to make it seem like he wasn't taking that approach. It's all good, I'm not one of these people that gets ****ed off when people disagree with me about recruiting stuff.

Its not glossing over or disagreeing but its also remembering the kid is new and doesnt know how to handle this which somehow nobody remembers I mean kids say these things and go back on it all the time and most of the time they're used to it. He isn't which is what ive said for months so thats why him visiting doesnt worry me especially when its a free trip that I know his teammates brag about will be fun. We'll see what he does but im not worrying at all
 
Lulz at jamicancane calling Jackson "new to recruiting" everyone in this class is new to this first time and only time they get to experience this in their lives!!

Face facts he's got to make the best decision for himself... whether he feels arky is a good fit for him and he's just doing homework making sure he likes the surroundings or maybe a free trip to go bang some redneck white girls whatever floats his boat..

He hasn't exactly been the most trustworthy commit. I'd like to see him in this class, but wouldn't be surprised at all if he flips.

He's "new to recruiting" because its his first year playing HS football so he literally has had half a year with coaches calling him nonstop. You obviously dont remember when Pete would say the same thing
 
FWIW, its been clear all year that this kid wanted to have some drama and excitement on NSD. He's mentioned it several times throughout the year, about how that is his "big day" and how they have earned the right to have all this attention on them. Kid seems to be a little too in love with the process. Hope Barrow can set him straight like he has before.
