Omar Kelly's take on BK's draft stock and future

Injury is less and less a concern given success rate of surgery and position, and taking an extra season around Mark Richt is definitely not a bad idea for a QB. That being said, if he's a top 2 or 3 lock, he gone.

From a purely football perspective I don't think that Kaaya is a finished product by any means. Don't misunderstand I am a huge fan and there are many things he does exceptionally well. What I see however is a QB that is still trying to learn and master the intricacies, nuances and finer points of the position. I also see a QB who despite being mentioned as a potential first round pick, still has a tremendous amount of potential that remains untapped.

Staying for his senior year with a QB coach like Mark Richt will greatly benefit him as a quarterback and afford him the opportunity to realize his enormous potential. Right now it seems to me that Kaaya is still in the process of becoming 100% comfortable in Richt's prostyle offense. He seems to be very close to putting everything he has learned so far from Richt together and integrating it into his play without having to think about it.

Keep this in mind as the season progresses because when Brad does get to that point, this offense with be deadly. In the next few weeks this offense will have a coming out party. We're going to explode on somebody and from that point forward we are going to very difficult to stop.

I think Kaaya should stay for one more season. If Miami beats fsu & Louisville in the ACCCG, he can leave.

That throw to Berrios @App State was so beautiful. Any question about BK's arm strength was answered right there. Still want to see him win a big game.

That was actually a bad throw that Berrios made a great play on. His arm strength is solid still not elite but as long as he doesnt hold back its good enough.

That wasn't a bad throw, kaaya couldn't throw it anywhere else considering how close berrios was to the sideline. That's an NFL throw throwing over the defender and fitting a dime to berrios in a tight space in bounds

Ummm that throw across his body to the opposite field takes a lot of arm strength

I think he should come back and redshirt, giving him 3 years to work with Richt, and also help coach up his future replacement.

Kiser and Watson are ahead of Brad and will stay ahead of him.

The Browns and 49ers are the only teams with top 10 picks that will go QB pushing Brad down to the mid first or early second.

In 2018, Josh Rosen is the only clear first round talent at this point Brad could stay and almost be assured of a top five selection which means a ton more money.

If Brad stays and no one leaves early, we will be a favorite to contend for a NC next year. At least on paper

:vogel: what am I missing on this cat? Not AT ALL impressed with him and what he has done so far

Never understood the Omar hate, or the Lebatard hate either

I like some LeBatard - I think the hate for him has really came from 60+ year old hags in midwestern America that can't accept someone mocking sports talk in two shows on national television. Omar, however, misreports information all the time and flip flops/contradicts himself constantly.

And although I would say Dan comes off as if he has a bit of an ego he definitely touches on the subjects that make people uncomfortable.

I know he's a Notre Lame but that delivery is extremely clean; great arm and he can move. The stats are there too. I can see why he projects well to the NFL. What don't you like? Just curious.
