O'Leary Wins Mackey

clive is on a 6-6 team and he fumbles and drops passes in big games. he might make plays but he makes alot of blunders too. o'leary is more polished

Let's talk in four years when Warlord is a top 5 fantasy TE and O'Leary is on special teams for the Raiders.

F*ck em all.

I've already had a rant on this so I am just going to leave it alone.

/kidding

**** this ******* ****. Nick O'Leary is a ****ass jumbo, ****tier version of Wes Welker. Can't block for ****, doesn't get yards after the catch unless the DBs run into each other, catches everything completely turned toward the QB. **** his grit, **** his 'moxie', **** his full of ****, holier than thou grandpa, and **** his "born on 3rd acts like he hit a triple" **** hole he calls a face.

O'Leary is Fuzzy Zoeller's nephew. I'm sure some strings were pulled.

he's jack nicklaus' grandson...not fuzzy zoeller's nephew. unless you were being sarcastic and i totally missed it............

You might want to check that. I'm pretty sure if he happened to be related to Nicklaus that they would have mentioned it at least once or twice on the broadcasts of their games.

college awards are a joke most times as mentioned it comes down to popularity. i bet if they poll all 32 GMs in the NFL to pick between the two clive would get every vote. and oh yeah oleary clearly fumbled when denzel smashed that ***** got away with one there

Saw it with my own eyes at the game. It was fumble and Al didn't challenge.

I said a great quote after the game "You can't leave it in the refs hands to win the game" We had many other opportunities to win, and we failed.

Out of curiosity, not that i disagree with the sentiments in this thread, i wonder what % of national awards go to players on .500 teams. Does anyone follow this closely enough to weigh in?

I don't know, but the award for best DE is named after a guy who played on a 5-5 team his senior year.

man, i didn't want to say that, but you are correct. i'm taking off my U shades for a minute; playing on a 6-6 squad is not going to get you national recognition and then when you are on prime-time tv and fumble your first catch against your biggest rival while the team is driving...that's going to get some points knocked off from you. Walford is going to be solid in the NFL, better than Jack's grandson, but all of those factors, probably the 6-6 record hurting the most, you're not going to get the recognition, whether you deserve it or not. PLUS HE'S A CANE....he was already against the 8 ball for that alone so he had to be **** near perfect to win that award.
