Ol coach replacement

Our DL doesn't get pushed around...
yes we do take a good look at LSU game this year Whisky last year and BC this week.
we do not hold LOS against teams with strong Lines..... i would suggest we have not had explosive strength on both sides of LOS since Mofet left for LSU

Go after Reese Morgan. Great coach at any position. He used to kill it as OL coach. Doubt he'd come here right now though.

I posted this before but I like Mogridge at FIU a lot:

If there was one good thing no one can disagree about Butch Davis was his ability to spot and have good coaches on his staff. The guy is not green at all and an established up and coming OL coach. Plus he's more realistic than trying to hire some long term established guy off a high budget staff.

We need a solid coach who also is good with the kids, meaning not an old school a hole.

Also Art Kehoe sucks as OL coach so please stop suggesting him

Miami had one of the better OL Coaches in the country (Jeff Stoutland) and our OL still kind of looked like **** pretty often. Not as bad as now, but OL was a problem under Stout, too.

We've had some good OL prospects to add to the discussion. I don't know what is in thewater down here...they've underperformed across the board regardless of who is coaching them.

We had Swasey as their strength coach. Stoutland's O-line issues wasn't so much techniche as he taught that, it was strength. They where pretty weak and out of shape.

I get it.

I'm just saying. We've had a lot of combinations of assistant coaches, S&C, and a mix of 5*, 4*, and 3* kids...we've also had a lot of trash depth at the OL going back - seemingly - 15+ years.

We just haven't gotten that one position group right. OL and DL for that matter, but the latter is another discussion.

I know it would be difficult, but maybe we should try recruiting O linemen from Texas and Louisiana. I don't know how they do it, but BC has a good Oline made up of guys from the northeast.

Did you watch the BC game?
Yes. I also just rewatched it to make sure I wasn't delusional. Our DL did not get pushed around. Every now and then I saw a tired white shirt being pushed back from the LOS, but more often than not, we exploded off the snap and contact with the OL was initiated behind the LOS. Literally every single running play that went over 3 yards was because a LB attacked a gap that was already being covered or closed by a DL.

We gave up 300 yards of offense in the 1st half alone off of a BYE week to a team that lacks explosive play maker.

But sure continue with the tired defense excuse.

Dont change the conversation. The topic is that both lines lack strength. I'm saying that it isn't true. Either our DL got pushed back and/or blown off the line in the BC game like you claimed, or they didn't. I just watched the game, and they didn't.

We aren't talking about the defense a whole.
Also, you do realize that BC had a bye week too?
No explosive players? Are you also aware that Aj Dillion is 4th in the NCAA in rushing YPG? He's literally the best RB in the ACC.

All i'm saying is that our S&C ain't the reason our OL is ***, and our DL performance proves it. Our DL has been getting tons of TFL while our OL had 0 push against Savannah State. Need to get a new OL coach ASAP.

On top of that, **** happens, you wont always be able to get consistent push from the DL every game. They have their down days, so cherry picking 2 out of 8 games is asinine. Just look at UGA vs Auburn last year and how their lines performed differently between the in-season matchup and SEC championship. You mean to tell me Georgia changed their S&C mid year?

Honest question. Do we keep Jess if we fire Searls? One of the reasons he took the job was because his friend and collwge teamate was here. That being Searles.
