OL coach option

This isn't based on information, just a suggestion. And it's possible the new OC brings along his OL coach. But if we hire a standalone guy, I hope we take a look at Allen Mogridge from FIU.

Former player and recruiting coordinator at UNC. He inherited an OL that was 86th in sack percentage. They were 5th in 2018 and 1st this year.

Mogridge has been hired by USF. He is going with jeff scott

I think Manny is going to have a tough time convincing anyone to take a job here.

That game last night was on national TV and was the only game on. Everyone got to see how in over his head Manny is.

I had people I haven’t talked to in years texting me with disbelief that they were watching Miami.

No one watched that last night and thought “oh, they just need to make a few changes with their assistants”

The reality is we’ll hire a new OC and he will bring in his own assistants at the open positions that he worked with.

what we should do is bring in guys that have worked in a similar system under different coordinators. Guys that will tell the same story but take a different course to get to the end. That’s how you trouble shoot and make things easy.

A few insiders have said that Patke is a really bright football coach and Finley seemed to be the best player on the field not named Greg. Special Teams coaches seem to have little influence in college over the quality of kicker. I dont see the hate. I'd keep him for another year. With how Finley improved I'd have him take over the LBs

ST improved as the year went by. Once Baxa saw the bench, ST was no longer an issue. Most games we won that stat, forget what it is called, that basically shows how many more yards the opponent has to gain to win based on starting field position.

Enos, Barry, Rumph, Stubbs, and ideally Banda should be gone.

Patke likely not going anywhere, the stryker's played reasonably well this year. ST improved in some areas specifically the punting and return game, the only defense I have for him when it comes to our kickers there is only so much you can do when guys that are brought in who are supposed to know how to kick FGs are missing extra points and are only 50% inside of 40 yards.

It's going to be tough to attract assistants with a Manny looking like a lame duck.

But I think the OL coach is a good gig. There is nowhere to go but up and the OL should naturally get better with experience and age (we had three freshmen out there yesterday).

So if he improves us 40 spots in the rankings (a modest expectation since we'd still be in the 80s), that looks good on him.

2 decades of this at a program that should be the Harvard business school of football!!! #fireblakejames#tnm

Not saying he didn't do a good job but it's easy to rank high in sack % when your QB is a dink and dunk checkdown Charlie who treats the ball like a hot potato.

Everyone who wasn't hired as a Manny special......awesome. The Manny Rat Pack GAs in Panda and Patke and i can't figure out what D to call so let's stunt and blitz Baker live on.

It's transparent as ****. Sycophants only.
