2026 OL Board (2026 Edition)

@DMoney in yesterday's podcast

I think this is going to be the best OL class we [Miami] have EVER signed.

Garcia's review on where OL recruits are leaning

The 2024 Miami Hurricanes were known for their high-scoring and production led by potential No. 1 NFL Draft pick Cam Ward, but there was a steady running game and plenty of talent up front on the offensive line under Mario Cristobal and Alex Mirabal. We're continuing to see that from a recruiting standpoint, too, fresh off of Mirabal claiming ACC Recruiter of the Year following a great haul in 2025.
The 2026 group, if nothing else, will be a larger group per sources close to the program. Miami already holds the commitment of a trio of massive blockers in Ben Congdon, Joel Ervin and JJ Sparks on board.
There won't be a shortage of additional blockers set to play at The U based on the rest of the board, and in one sense the most talented of the potential group remain largely undecided. It includes the nation's top-ranked recruit in Jackson Cantwell, who Miami continues to pursue.
IMG Academy's Keenyi Pepe may be considered a Hurricane lean at this stage and there is a similar feel for fellow blue-chippers Canon Pickett, Breck Kolojay, Ryan Miret and others. Miami is the dark horse for elites Lamar Brown and Micah Smith in addition to SEC legacy Chancellor Campbell.
Whether the final number is five or even more, UM looks poised for not only a great blocking group by volume, but also from a sheer talent perspective.

Seems like ideally what we end with is something like:

- Jackson Cantwell
- Keenyi Pepe
- Grant Wise
- Canon Pickett

And then probably want one more
If you'd told me we ended up with only one of these I would have told you Cantwell was least likely.

soooo... close with Pickett and John Jones???? Won't hold my breath for Cantwell.... who else is high on our board?
@BigDikDaddyFromCincinnati touche! Being on the boards for 20years I've learned to move on and not set myself up for let downs, and not let one recruit make or break the class... PUMPED we got him in the end, and/or if he was ours all along.... will be a GREAT OL class in the end..

In the fold:

Pickett
Sparks
Cantwell
Ervin
Congdon

Are we still looking good for JJones? Miret?

Just having fun. We all manage our expectations in our own ways. I like green and orange kool aid.

Is Pickett definitely in?

The other possibilities imo include:

Pickett
Miret (if we want him)
Kolojay
Jones
Tofi
M.Smith
Kent (likely ends up on a line)
Carr (may be a backup plan)
Parks (may be a backup plan)

Then you get down into the Chancellor Campbells, Rhys Woodrows, etc who are definitely seem like backup plans
